  1. So long as he’s not bid on and it requires points to cover. As it stands, pick 66 has no points value.
  2. Getting a bit picky here, but these aren’t just ‘trade grades’, it covers the whole free agency period as well, no way Brisbane get an A+ on trades alone. As for the Dees, B+ for me, higher if we don’t have to pay so much of Clarry’s wage. Go Dees.
  3. Fingers crossed for this outcome
  4. Sydney red-hot favourites for Curnow now surely. Would think this pushes their chances significantly next year, key missing link for them. If they stay fit will be hard to beat.
  5. Excellent point. Would be disappointed if we gave this up under the Trac trade, would be opportunity lost.
  6. Reported on around $1.4m a year. Has been nowhere near that for the past couple of years and it appears with King that he wants players to play multiple positions. It’s a huge chunk of cap for a player to doesn’t fit into plans. As sad as it is, it makes sense to pay some salary and invest in youth. Realisitically our next window (for a flag) is 3 years away by which time Clarry will be close to off the books. Take the future 2nd/3rd rounder and move on?!?!
  7. Agree, do we have the guts to do this though? Personally, I’m not sure that we do. If we do, we need to do it quickly.
  8. He’s a rubbish kick, it’s why he couldn’t get a game this year.
  9. 💯would take the biggest defender and give JVR and Kentfield a better crack in my opinion. The alternative is the same as we’ve seen the last couple of years.
  10. 6 Hanks 5 Fitzsimon 4 Chaplin 3 Witherspoon 2 Harris 1 Hore
  11. 6 Hanks 5 Heath 4 Purcell 3 Chaplin 2 McNamara 1 Lampard
  12. Agree. Nothing against Jack Henderson but a bit staggering that he got chosen before Jai. Take it though.
  13. Put a line through that then, the guy can barely put a coherent sentence together.
  14. 6 Gawn 5 Windsor 4 Rivers 3 Petty 2 T Mac 1 Oliver
  15. 6 Viney 5 Oliver 4 Salem 3 Gawn 2 Pickett 1 Petracca
  16. 6 Viney 5 Gawn 4 Rivers 3 Chandler 2 Fritsch 1 Bowey
  17. I feel for him also and still feel he can make it, but clear he needs to go back to Casey for a bit. Fingers crossed he can get a full pre-season, same for Windsor.
  18. 6. Pickett 5. Fritsch 4. Bowey 3. Salem 2. Rivers 1. Oliver
  19. Some v good summaries by @Kev and @Harvey Wallbanger . I went down and got to see most of it. I thought they were very good. Looked very sharp linking up out is stoppages and quickly getting it inside 50. Whilst the usual suspects were leading the charge, we look to have really good depth. ‘Fringe/emerging’ players like Taylor, Rigoni, Pisano, and Johnson showed promising glimpses. Thought all the new recruits showed a fair bit. O’Hehir looks most likely to get a start but the others not at all far behind. Forward line of Gall, Zanker, Harris, Bannan, Fitzsimmons - with Pisano, Campbell and Hore swapping through will be super dangerous. Paxman and McNamara excellent drive from the wings. Hard not to get excited for the season with a nice draw.
  20. After Goody says that where we are in the transition is essentially meshing/integrating the younger players with the older players, according to the media, in one of the weakest draft pools for some time and probably the most comprised draft pool ever, we are going to trade Trac, Clarry, Fritta (all mentioned here) and Lever (mentioned previously). If not, trading into future drafts compromised by Tassie. Doesn’t make sense in any way to me.
  21. 100% on this.
  22. 6 Petracca 5 Langford 4 Melksham 3 Fritsch 2 Oliver 1 T Mac
  23. Similar trajectory to Nibbler I reckon, if I remember correctly he (Nibbler) was in and out for a few years before he finally found his niche and if we are being honest at times looked like he wasn’t going to make it. Don’t believe Kolt’s had a full pre- season yet either. Maybe won’t be an ‘A-grader’, but strikes me as sometime who will play his role week in week out when he finds his groove.
