  2. I feel for him also and still feel he can make it, but clear he needs to go back to Casey for a bit. Fingers crossed he can get a full pre-season, same for Windsor.
  3. 6. Pickett 5. Fritsch 4. Bowey 3. Salem 2. Rivers 1. Oliver
  4. Some v good summaries by @Kev and @Harvey Wallbanger . I went down and got to see most of it. I thought they were very good. Looked very sharp linking up out is stoppages and quickly getting it inside 50. Whilst the usual suspects were leading the charge, we look to have really good depth. ‘Fringe/emerging’ players like Taylor, Rigoni, Pisano, and Johnson showed promising glimpses. Thought all the new recruits showed a fair bit. O’Hehir looks most likely to get a start but the others not at all far behind. Forward line of Gall, Zanker, Harris, Bannan, Fitzsimmons - with Pisano, Campbell and Hore swapping through will be super dangerous. Paxman and McNamara excellent drive from the wings. Hard not to get excited for the season with a nice draw.
  5. After Goody says that where we are in the transition is essentially meshing/integrating the younger players with the older players, according to the media, in one of the weakest draft pools for some time and probably the most comprised draft pool ever, we are going to trade Trac, Clarry, Fritta (all mentioned here) and Lever (mentioned previously). If not, trading into future drafts compromised by Tassie. Doesn’t make sense in any way to me.
  6. 100% on this.
  7. 6 Petracca 5 Langford 4 Melksham 3 Fritsch 2 Oliver 1 T Mac
  8. Similar trajectory to Nibbler I reckon, if I remember correctly he (Nibbler) was in and out for a few years before he finally found his niche and if we are being honest at times looked like he wasn’t going to make it. Don’t believe Kolt’s had a full pre- season yet either. Maybe won’t be an ‘A-grader’, but strikes me as sometime who will play his role week in week out when he finds his groove.
  9. For me, ins are Petty and Howes if they both get up. Howes was good for a couple of games before GCS. Time to play Petty, JVR and Jeffo as the tall forwards for a few weeks. Give Jeffo a chance with the 3rd/4th defender. Outs would be Sharp and Fritsch, if not Tholstrup. Whoever out of those two stays would be sub. Other option would be to drop all three and bring back Windsor, pleasing that he had seven tackles for Casey (just stats, didn’t see the game).
  10. Time to test/give time to guys for the future. Start with: in: Jefferson, Laurie (give him an extended run at it) Out: Melksham, Sparrow Hoping Adams and Verrall get some games before the end of the year, and more games for Tholstrup.
  11. 6. Fritsch 5. Langford 4. Bowey 3. Howes 2. Gawn 1. Turner
  12. Best game for the club today I think. He’s put a couple of good ones together.
  13. Ins: Viney and Jefferson Outs: Melksham (managed) and JVR
  14. Agree, they need to be full-time and solely focused on umpiring as a job. It’s a billion dollar industry. It’s also a very difficult game to umpire, so give them the best opportunity to succeed.
  15. 6 - May 5 - Oliver 4 - Turner 3 - Langdon 2 - Gawn 1 - Pickett Thought May was easily our best. Also thought Howe was BOG by an absolute mile so what would I know!?!?
  16. What a name Malakai Champion is….welcome Ricky!
  17. I thought we had one spot after elevating Melksham to the senior list?
  18. Didn’t make the AA squad, quite unbelievable.
  19. Good call, although they’d still have the capital to go after 2 as well, maybe using 5 or 6. Three picks in the top 6 potentially.
  20. Would there be any possibility we would split this pick if the price was right? Say to Richmond for 10, 11 and 24. The first pick of the second round is always valuable, we could use it to build points for next year if we are confident in getting White as F/S, or take the pick if someone falls in the order. Still have 3 first rounders in this scenario.
  21. Unlikely I reckon. From next year fourth rounder picks are worth zero draft points.
  22. Surprised with Lachie Gollant, thought he actually looked alright and showed some potential.
  23. Welcome Tom. Basically admitting that we stuffed up last year, but now have a 2nd ruck who would be able to fill in if needed and gives another year to assess Verrall.
