  1. "Daz Talks Footy" had us taking Dovaston and Farrow @ 8:42
  2. Aussie Rules Rookie Me CentralSam Cumming Draft ProfileNorth Adelaide prospect Sam Cumming is a powerful and competitive midfielder-forward with strong work rate.SNAPSHOT: “An explosive and competitive midfielder-forward who reliably wins contested ball and has added weapons to his game.” – Michael Alvaro Sam Cumming will be among the most highly sought after prospects at this year’s draft after an impressive couple of seasons with North Adelaide. The midfielder took out last year’s SANFL Under 18 MVP award as a bottom-ager, making 10 appearances for an average of 27 disposals. He also turned out twice for South Australia at the Under 18 National Championships, and was selected to play in the National Futures game. With such exploits under his belt, Cumming was inducted into the 2025 AFL Academy and impressed during a preseason training stint at Port Adelaide. He came into season proper with huge wraps on his potential, and delivered to become an All-Australian by the end of SA’s title-winning nationals run. The best was yet to come, though, as Cumming stepped up into North Adelaide’s League side and made an immediate impact. Amid arguably his best patch of form for the year, he starred with 21 disposals and three goals in Round 13 against South Adelaide. Unfortunately, his season ended in a fourth and final senior game after injuring his shoulder three weeks later against Central District. Still, Cumming was fit enough to participate at the National Draft Combine where he showcased his explosive speed with a sub three-second 20m sprint time. Cumming is quite well travelled already having played his junior football in Wentworth, a town over the New South Wales border in the Sunraysia region. He also represented Bendigo Pioneers in the 2022 V-Line Cup, but ended up attending school at the prestigious Prince Alfred College in Adelaide and thus linked up with North. He’s a Hawthorn supporter and models his game on the likes of Sydney star Isaac Heeney.
  3. Throwing GC our second rounders this year has cost us Pickett. I understand why it had to be done, but that's the extra cost. I say we trade down with 8. Maybe Hawks bite with pick #22 and a F1 or Norf with #25 and a F1.
  4. Would any of these scenarios make sense for either clubs? Ess- 5 & 21 for 7 & 8 NMFC - F1 & 25 for 7 or 8 Rich - 4 & F2 for 7 & 8
  5. If the kid shows promise those Freo grubs will start whispering in his ear. Hard pass.
  6. I had a stroke just reading that. Imagine trying to commentate that passage of play live.
  7. They'd have to pay a premium if they're wanting to fast track a kid this year instead of waiting for next year's draft. It should cost them their second round pick this year. I'd do that deal - use that pick for Pickett. Edit - scratch that, their first pick is #49 this year. The [censored].
  8. What else do we get?
  9. Don't like it. Selling too much of the future.
  10. Don't get too hung up on that comment my dude it was more tounge in cheek.
  11. 🤔 Intersting if true.
  12. They play quite similar and have the same names. We have a better version - I'd need to see more willingness to take a body or two.
  13. Warming to Grlj big time. I see the Butters comparisons in the way he moves - got that nice sideways movement. Like Dovaston as he looks a real goer- and you need guys like that. Will keep running and provide a link up player also gets dirty. Are there better small forwards to he had next year? No on Lindsay - we've already got a Lindsay and he gets more inside. Also no on Marsh - Jeffo's highlights were better.
  14. We already have two first rounder next year innit
  15. *No WA talent please. They tend to be poached. That is all.
  16. Let's hold onto GC's future first so we can package it up with our own and have anotjrr crack at the BBQ Bear next year.
  17. It's truly bizarre how you write off some of our young developing talent so flippantly whilst also refusing to acknowledge any of your boy Jeffo's shortcomings. You're playing some kind of weird long game where if Jefferson some how makes it and becomes a player, you can claim you're some kind of talent scouting savant and you saw things the whole time that nobody else did. It's a bold low percentage play, but I see you.. 😂
  18. For the Brand 😂
  19. So the deal as it stands we are trading away a pick we could use to get Kozzie's cousin yeah?
  20. So when the dust settles we will have two first rounders this year, and two the next. It's funny. Draft time used to be full or wonder and excitement. It hits different now. Getting invested in the draft isnconcrding the window is slammed shut. Shame. Luckily I'm not the sentimental type and view players as chess peices. Onto the next phase.
  21. The Tassie thing doesn't worry me too much - sure, they'll have a war chest, but the price is you have to live in Tassie. Our warchest means you don't have to board the spirit of [censored] Tasmania every fortnight.
  22. What can we do? He wants out, 7 & 8 is as good an offer as we can get really.. we aren't desirable enough to have good players want to come to us, it is what it is.
  23. Does this mean we've told them to find their own d@mn pics for points for their acadamy kids? Hope so.
