Hunter more versatile than Billings.
-
AMW must come under consideration soon. Improving all the time. Silky smooth.
-
Unless injured I reckon he'll play against Carlton. Replacement for Billings.
-
Some tough calls to make. 5 day break against a contender is a killer. Feel like we have to go for some fresh legs. Bowey(if fit) I would put straight in. Hunter, Mcadam and maybe Tholstrup could come under consideration. Billings will go. Can Laurie play at Casey tomorrow? Big call but does Windsor need a rest? Certainly think Chandler does with that knee. One thing I'd definitely be doing tomorrow would be to take off the aforementioned players at halftime or soon after. Keep all options open and see how players pull up on Monday. Unfortunately Seagulls will runaway with it but so be it.

Waiting for Rohan to kick the winner.😏

It will really test my loyalty to this game and following AFL should Kalani end up at the Suns. On one hand the AFL, media and football world spruik the romanticism of the notion of a son following in his father's footsteps at his beloved club. On the other, a contrived academy rule can gazump this notion to rob a club the opportunity of recruiting a 'favourite son'. Read Nick Blakey. Make up your mind! It's an absolute farce. To lose a 10+ year potential KP is unpalatable. If the AFL really want F/S to remain it should always take precedence over gluttonous northern academies.

Geelong 10 flags in 125 years. Massive underachiers having had a massive home ground advantage throughout that period. We had a near 60 year hiatus from winning a premiership and they still can't catch us!
-
You make good points. Just think Geelong are playing to their absolute capacity. At the moment we've got half a dozen consistent contributors and that's it! Still 5/2. Viney, Petracca and Clarry can all improve. There's only one way for JVR and Petty. Fritsch to a lesser extent. I think we're ready for a big challenge. We were rusty off the bye against Richmond. Second half was good. Just get a sense we're ready to launch!

Geelong gave up 105 points against a depleted and also inaccurate Carlton. We won't allow that. Geelong's conversion rate was off the charts. Unlikely to happen next week. Add to the fact they're due for a loss we will win.
-
We will beat Geelong. Our midfield is overdue to fire and too strong for the Cats. If any team can cover Hawkins and Cameron we can. This scoreline has massively flattered them thus far. Return for much lower entries is remarkable against an undermanned Carlton defence. I'm confident.

Meant to say they won't risk McAdam etc. May well target it him for the Eagles game. Carlton might be too soon.
-
Zero chance Tomlinson comes in. Be very surprised if they risk even though his cameo performance was outstanding yesterday. Could be the difference maker in the forward line eventually. Bailey for Woewodin is possible. The only other change could be if they feel need to give Windsor a rest. If that is the case it's Hunter for me.

This! People are forgetting that Petty had an extremely interrupted pre season. I'm surprised he's even on the park. Yes, his form hasn't been great but watching the replay he had a 'nearly' game. Maybe his foot is shot. Dunno. But if fit we must persevere. Went to watch Casey yesterday. Fullarton definitely shows promise but very lightweight. I wouldn't fancy going in with him and youngsters Turner and JVR against an experienced Geelong defence. Throw in the fact that for the most part delivery into the forward line last night was atrocious,Petty stays for me.

Can somebody please tell me to never make a statement like this again!!
-
At the huge risk of getting ahead of myself and not wanting to jinx the team🤞to go on and have a big win would be excellent. As I'm sure all are aware the lower the opposition score the better the percentage. The % difference come the end of the season could be critical. Having said that I'll take any win atm!!
-
18-0. Not at the races atm.

Interestingly KFW 'managed'. Code for dropped. Needs to go back to suburban football for some time to see if he's actually got anything. Unfortunately for him, and us, I strongly doubt that he has.
-
He might be one game short of a gallop but I would love to see Turner come in for BBB tomorrow night and play forward. He's aggressive, quick off the mark, can kick for goal, compete and, best of all, versatile. Just needs a reasonable run with injury.

So we have Demon Seats+ memberships. Access to 16 games. Does that mean we can just scan at the gate and sit in a general area? Not accepting the barcode online.
-
In a heartbeat! Can turn a game un a quarter. Probably not tough enough for Hardwick. At 23 his best is ahead of him. Not sure how he gets to us though?
-
No worries mate. None of us can be 100% on these things. Even better than Moore early on was Kelvin Templeton. They came together in an unprecedented coup. Pretty sure I was at a game at Kardinia Park when Templeton booted 8 goals in his second game for our club. Simply sensational! I was extremely buoyed with confidence with the brilliant Moore and others. Alas, Templeton's 3 seasons at Melbourne were riddled with injury and the rest is history. He did kick 51 goals in an interrupted second season and averaged a creditable 3 goals per game in a poor team hampered by achilles and other issues. What might have been....

Fullerton was good and could have kicked 5. Personally I would like to see Turner tried up forward and give BB a rest. The only caveat about the form line from Sunday is that Port are likely to be a cellar dweller again. Mind you, Casey not travelling that well. I suppose the club might think that Turner needs more than one game back. I hope not. I think he has a big upside and provides versatility. Wouldn't mind seeing what Fullerton at senior level. Gives Max a chop out and allows JVR to spend more time up forward which hopefully might be a badly needed confidence boost against the Tigers.

I respectfully beg to differ. He left Collingwood in somewhat acrimonious circumstances. Loved his time at the Dee's.

Peter Moore won a Brownlow with us. If a debilitating back/ hamstring issue didn't cut his career short by at least a season Darcy Moore could well have been in Demon colours. Moore openly stated he loved the MFC.
