I can't see how Petracca gets traded when he doesn't have a registered agent. He also hasn't made things easy on himself, the debacle last year reflected poorly on him as much as the club.

If you look at his current form and how he played during the back end of last year, I think we were sold a lemon.

PR only works if it comes across as sincere. I think the publicity campaign since 23 has been pretty uninspired and disingenuous to say the least. It's very frustrating.

No, but spending over their salary cap happened when he was around and that's largely why they have been so bad since.

No-one said anyone can do no wrong. I just think people should appreciate the fact that these players and coaches are human beings. Be frustrated at where the team is at, I certainly am, but some of the language on here is just pitiful.

Hawthorn were awful early in the year. No-one thought they would finish beyond bottom 4. Brisbane were unlucky with their losses and still looked good.

It does seem like the club weren't interested in the later picks and perhaps they were also aware of the compromised draft in 2025. Maybe they have their eye on an academy or potential father/son 😉

That is what is being widely reported this year and last year. Respected experts touted last year's draft has being exceptional in terms of depth. We've already seen evidence in that by very impressive performances early in the season by many of the top draft picks from last years draft.

It seems pretty normal for players who have been out of form to doubt themselves in front of goal. I agree he was much better. I would keep him in and put JVR in the 2s to build confidence. Disco in. If Fullerton keeps getting 2 to 3 goals at Casey I think they should try him too. If Windsor is back, I would put him down back and try Rivers in the middle. He was good last year and has been playing out of position, which is why he had so many fumbles. I think it's worth a try. I think Clarry was good today. I don't think he should be on notice. Langford needs to be in the middle every week. He's going to be a gun. Sharp was good today. We need his speed anyway. Agree Max needs someone to share the load. If Campbell can come in, playing Geelong would be the game to try it, as they are still working out their ruck situation...

We could have used him down back today but I agree that it would have been a waste. Langford was clearly our best midfielder today and is also going to be an absolute star.

I've been very supportive of him too, but I agree things need to change. I just don't see how him leaving now helps the season. I am very excited about the young players too.

I just can't get over the fact that some seem to think we stole a flag, while others think we should have been a dynasty. Do our supporters even like MFC? I am so disappointed at today's showing (and last week's), but I'm not going to neg out about the past. I'm still so happy I got to see my team win a flag, even if I wasn't able to be there in person.

On the brightside, apparently the next draft is not going to have the depth of last year's. So even injured, XL was worth the risk. He is going to be a star.

I think we need to remember he nearly died last year. It will take time for him to get back to his best.
