I still have an immense amount of respect for Simon Goodwin, due to the premiership and 2018 in particular, but his answers in press conferences are really frustrating. This isn't the first time he hasn't told the truth about someone's injuries.

The age article this refers too was implying that fitness is not the issue, more that the contest central game that both Melbourne and Carlton play is a slog that leaves you exhausted at the end of a game. In addition, it doesn't match with the fast, handball central game that is being played by other teams.

Fullarton kicked 5 this week and 3 last week at Casey. Give the man a go. Drop fritta or JVR for him. Both could use a game at Casey to gain some confidence. I don't have confidence that Lever will be ready based on Simon Goodwin's body language and answer during the presser. Could Jed Adams be a shot? Was he an emergency this week?

I think a much better effort from a lot of players but still quite a few need to spend some time at Casey. I'd put Fritch there to gain some confidence and bring Fullarton in. Petty should go to Casey too.

If Rick is good to play next week May should go out.

I can't see how Petracca gets traded when he doesn't have a registered agent. He also hasn't made things easy on himself, the debacle last year reflected poorly on him as much as the club.

If you look at his current form and how he played during the back end of last year, I think we were sold a lemon.

PR only works if it comes across as sincere. I think the publicity campaign since 23 has been pretty uninspired and disingenuous to say the least. It's very frustrating.

No, but spending over their salary cap happened when he was around and that's largely why they have been so bad since.

No-one said anyone can do no wrong. I just think people should appreciate the fact that these players and coaches are human beings. Be frustrated at where the team is at, I certainly am, but some of the language on here is just pitiful.

Hawthorn were awful early in the year. No-one thought they would finish beyond bottom 4. Brisbane were unlucky with their losses and still looked good.
