  1. Always has been, was never 'season' nor with weeks attached.
  2. Time to tank
  3. Oh my god Billings. Goodwin, please never consider what he does in the VFL, it's meaningless
  4. Sub Billings off for Turner
  5. If we get this Oliver back next year, and Trac at full health, we're back in business. Time to get Turner on IMO.
  6. Ffs roo you gotta kick thoseeeee
  7. Giving up too many easy ones
  8. Yep. I'm not a fan but hasn't really put a foot wrong tonight. Offering more than Sparrow has been lately. Nervous we'll have lost this lead by half time. Wish there was rain about!
  9. Brilliant tackle pressure tonight
  10. I don't care that he kicked a goal, Petty really sucks.
  11. Petty running around with bricks for shoes. Could hardly get any pace up chasing an open ball. Would've been a goal if Turner was playing.
  12. Turner as the sub? Go back to hospital Goody!!
  13. On the contrary, it seems like he would fit right in with the AFL team...
  14. Remember the "He'll just want to go back to WA" panic when we drafted him? I do.
  15. On form he absolutely deserves to be dropped. His numbers are all down by the eyeball test is even worse, just has no impact on games. Unfortunately the cupboard is bare and the inclusions are uninspiring. Would've much prefered to see Brown than Laurie.

I've listened to plenty of interviews with AFL players who have spoken about the importance of a good pre-season. Just look at 2019, we stunk and the club regularly spoke about the challenges we had with so many players going into surgery at the end of the year. During the season you are battered and bruised from playing, most efforts during the week are for recovery, not gaining fitness.
  17. Don't know how this draft doesn't get a 10/10!! All three played in a flag in their second season. Jackson was good enough to command two first round picks when he left Kozzy is 23 and already a top 5 small forward in the league Rivers is showing signs of being an A grade midfielder after 90 very good games in defence If we got to re-do our draft of the players drafted after Jackson, who would you have taken instead? And the same for Pickett and Rivers? Only Chad Warner stands out, otherwise I would make the same picks again.
  18. 20 pressure acts and 5 tackles. That's in the top 7 players for both stats, top 3 for Melbourne. Draper had 6 and 1. I don't disagree that he didn't offer much offensively, but he definitely had a go.
  19. We need to show some serious intent and pressure early in this one. Send a message that it won't be like last time. Sparrow, time to throw your weight around or get out. Kynan Brown is breathing down your neck. Hope it rains.
  20. Billings is in as the sub. Don't love it but not sure what else we have.

Rivers into the midfield sacrifices some run and dash off half back. Neither Bowey nor Salem provide the speed, dare or penetrating kicking of Rivers. May and McDonald are likely to slow down even more next year, so surrounding them with some pace may prove to be important. Completely agree that we need to go after key backs but unfortunately that may need to be through the draft. There's not a lot of high-end KPD talent though.
  22. Only 4 players on the injury list is ridiculous for this time of year. Unfortunately it's 2 of our best 5 players with one done for the year, but otherwise we are amazingly healthy.

Fremantle will bounce back. Not an easy task GWS still have enough talent to be a significant challenge Dogs are playing well Port are competitng for a top 8 spot and have an incredible midfield No-one has managed to beat Gold Coast at home Collingwood always find a way to beat us, even when they suck. Round 23 2017 anyone? Every game is winnable but we could just as easily go 0-6. I reckon we'd miss on percentage going 3-3.
  24. How is the drainage on Optus Oval? It's raining, significantly, every day from Wednesday. Bowey looked short (which he is) on more than one occasion on Saturday. Fremantle play four forwards over 190cm, plus either Darcy or Jackson can be spending time there too. I wonder if we need Howes or Tomlinson.
