Don't tease me saying Jeffo might come in with Verrell...would absolutely love to see that! Surely McAdam is in the conversation for this week if he's fit and ready, that is if both Disco and JVR are out. Is he a likely in yet or not enough proper game time at Casey yet? I feel like he needs to come in to the top level to get his wheels turning properly but that is based on absolutely nothing but me wanting to see this guy come in and bring something exciting to the team. Waiting to see if Darling gets rubbed out too...hmmm

Didn't Kolt play well at VFL yesterday? Might think of putting him in as sub. Chandler a rest if he needs it. Woey a full game and Bowey up somewhere would be interesting. Definitely a danger game though isn't it, not a walk in the park, but if we don't win well it will be alarm bells. Wouldn't rest Windsor, the kid just wants to work I'd keep him in and get him proper match fit, if he isn't already, he's awesome!

Big take away from all this is don't let the other team get a 6 goal head start, then all the other [censored] doesn't matter nearly as much. Still livid at the umps and the whole system, it's a shocker and it needs to be consistent, if it isn't consistent across the board then it's corrupt. Without that slow start we would have nailed the Blues though, bit of a shame that but hey one point ain't bad it's nice to know we can still bring it and switch it around that much.

McAdam for Chandler, I like that idea if Chandler looks like he needs a rest. Billings was decent, Taj was great give him a full game, maybe Bowie sub because he still might not be full match fit.

First quarter an anomaly but not a huge surprise either unfortunately. Thought Billings and Taj were really good, among others but those guys deserve a shout out. Could see Melksham on the bench thinking "if I was on I'd be kicking clutch goals here there and everywhere" reckon we needed him last night, if not just for some inspiration in that first quarter. Trac was amazing though, Max too, we're lucky to have those guys. That dangerous tackle BS at the end was such BS I hope that guy cops a fine, they should start banning people for that nonsense, basically won the game for them at that point.

Do we want Hunter back in the team? I re-watched the game last night and honestly Billings wasn't that bad, he made some great kicks, just shanked that goal which was unfortunate but I reckon maybe keep him in. Would swap Laurie for Bowey but I really want to see Laurie have a great game, I think he's got it in him somewhere.

Wouldn't mind having McAdam ready if not just for a bit of X factor this week...we'll probably need it.

Didn't mind Laurie, everyone always saying he needs confidence...maybe last night's good cameo will give him that and he will open up a bit. I'd like to see more of him after last night and the other player's sub-par performance. Turner awesome, so happy to see that from him when we really need it up forward. Petty probably won't be dropped, probably should be after the recent string of matches really. Can't wait to see McAdam but another game in VFL sounds like the plan. Need to be better than that to beat cats and blues, mids need to wake up, which I'm sure they will.

I think the weather will be okay tonight, according to the Bom anyway the bulk of the rain will be done by lunchtime...hopefully. Bit ordinary that we get worried in the wet though. Laurie would want to absolutely "bring it" tonight, bit miffed that Kolt got dropped but hopefully he'll be back soon. GO DEES GAME DAY HELL YEAH!!!

Can we have a thread called "handbags at dawn" where all the bickering gets moved to, it just ends up clogging up an otherwise good thread with stuff no one else is interested in seeing.

Haha I actually wasn't really knocking it, I just had no idea what the heck "the Bailey Smith Experience" would entail. Not sure why he needs a photo of him with a shirt off, maybe he stripped for part of the show?? Good on him though, why not sell some tickets to whatever that is in the meantime...I really am very curious to know what it was!

In our game Tmac just touched the ball as he was trying to pick it up and then it went out of bounds and they called deliberate...one of the most non-deliberate acts I think I've ever seen. How they can rule on those things makes the mind boggle.

That's the insane thing, insanely transparent too, there is no way you can know the intent of a player and I'm sure most players don't want to hurt someone they are just in the moment and running very fast and reacting just as fast. Intent should have nothing to do with it, the only consistent thing to do is look at the action and the outcome. Make it consistent ffs!

AFL equivalent of a Royal Commission in to how these things are judged. I don't think it would take much to see that what has been happening has no shred of consistency or fairness about it. But is that really in the AFL's best interests I wonder...they probably like the drama of it all too.

I do know what you mean too, I guess I'd just hate to see my kid in the very early stages of what they hope to be a long career with online comments saying that he didn't have what it takes when in reality he just might need a little more time. It is ruthless and business and there's lots of money on the line but it is a game at the end of the day...I take your point though and I'm sure none of the players ever think of it as "just a game" either.
