Kane and Bucks occasionally make sense about something, but them pushing the "footy act" barrow on this really makes them sound pretty dumb.

The whole "footy act" argument is so irrelevant...it's a physical game yes, but in every decision is a very significant "duty of care" because of the significant outcomes if that "duty of care" is not taken into consideration. I'm sure he didn't want to hurt him, but he breached that duty of care and hurt him badly, like it or not footy fans that's the kind of thing we need to be stamping out of the game because life long head injuries just aren't worth it for anyone. This whole narrative should be about the "duty of care" so you don't hurt your fellow colleagues whether they're opponents or not, you're all playing the same game you twits, enough with this "footy act" [censored] anyone who is pushing that barrow is just as much a part of the problem. If a "footy act" results in serious head injuries it probably shouldn't be allowed now should it. Would our perspective be different if we were on the other side of this? Not sure...I'd like to think our players have a bit more sense than to jump full steam at another player running full stem right towards them like a game of chicken. That never seemed like a good idea, pretty obvious outcome whether you get the spoil or not, someone is going to get pretty badly hurt.

The only person taking pack splitting marks was Petty and sometimes Melksham...this tactic didn't work for us very well last game did it? Stop the long bombs, they don't work, lower and smaller and more dynamic please.

Looked second rate. We are not second rate, we need to get our heads out of our bums, most of our good players didn't look that good the other night...but I'm pretty sure they still are.

We can beat Brisbane up there, yes they're having a party up there right now but we can take them...we just need to get our house in order, we have the tools.

I think we need to stop framing it as a "ruck combo", Grundy is just a decent player and I want him on the team.

Btw so sick of the continuous long bombs and looking so slow, not to mention bad kicking. It was just one of those nights where nothing went Melbourne's way and everything went Collingwood's...they're very good, but we had a terrible night and nothing fell out way. We are way better than that and I hope we turn it on against Carlton or I'll be very cross.

I for one hope like hell Grundy comes in, just don't make Max change his game, Grundy does what Jackson used to do and you know what, he's a quality footballer too and can still move well enough and he should be in there. Makes sense, second ruck, can still kind of play like a big mid fielder, c'mon stop the haters Grundy is great he's just had a bunch of crappy games but did we lose those games because of the ruck? Or because we just played a bit [censored] and couldn't kick goals hmmm?

Hibberd was decent, gotta bring Tomo in though. I thought Smith was good up forward, the whole forward line was pretty rubbish though and just bombing it in was [censored] and predictable. Grundy in for JVR, then if Tmac out bring in Schache, he's a good kick and can't hurt, at least Tmac did something but just looked too slow (the whole team looked a bit slow to be honest). JVR needs to grow up. Spargo or JJ for Brayshaw, the other one a sub instead of Laurie, maybe Taj too he was pretty good when he played. I hope they practice their kicking again before next match, that was hard to watch.

Never underestimated how big a deal that was, it was always a massive out for us and the season. He would have helped us win!

What exactly are the guidelines can you elaborate please? Does it say you just can't play AFL listed players come finals? Surely not, I remember a few of them playing in the VFL granny last year.

He has been amazing, and I know he's not a mid but damn I reckon he'd be a dark horse in the rising star race (probably won't get it but definitely would be deserving). Absolute gun, played every game and been excellent!

The Pancake Parlour is infamous for its stupid prices, and their milkshakes are no exception. Their milkshake is called the "swiss mountain malt" and current online menu has it at $13.90...so not quite twenty bucks but close enough to make it a very silly price. I think you're probably paying five or six bucks for that name alone haha don't get me wrong though, absolutely great milkshake, probably should be about half the price though which goes for just about their whole menu. EDIT: The only time we'd get one of these was at the 24 hour Pancake Parlour in Doncaster in the wee morning hours after a night out before heading home.

Just wanted to start a birthday thread in honor of such a big important reliable part of our club, the milkshake himself, Mr. Jake Melksham! Go get yourself a milkshake today to celebrate this birthday. Couple of things, first of all our team would just not be a shadow of what it is leading into finals this year without the Milkshake, and that isn't just being said because of what has happened but has been a genuine thought all season before and after he made it into the best 22 (I always thought he should be in there). He is the x-factor and provides grit, reliability, an elite kick for goal (especially the bananas), and just such a positive professional attitude and vibe for the whole team and has really made our forward line look like a forward line. So happy birthday Jake, despite this terrible news we are all super fans of what you've done for our club this year and we know we wouldn't be where we are without you on the field. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that I'd love nothing more than to see you recover well and get back on the field and kick some more bananas from the boundary!! If anyone can do it, you can!! Also what are people's favorite milkshake flavors? Mine is vanilla malt...can't beat it!!! Best are those big milkshakes they used to have at the pancake parlor, haven't been in there for years but damn they were good, even if they cost you about twenty bucks worth every cent.
