  1. Improving connection, perspective and communication is good , but it won't give us the forward line we need to win it this year. The same problem remains. I don't read replies or reactions
  2. It's a bit like the AFL celebrating its centenary in 1996 when in fact the centenary was actually in 1997. 1996 was the hundredth year of the VFL/AFL, but a centenary isn't the hundredth year, a centenary is when a hundred years has been completed. So in 1996 only ninety-nine years had completed. I don't read replies or reactions
  3. Tenth. No way we're winning it with that forward line. I don't read replies or reactions.
  4. I don't mind if he leaves. It will accelerate the rebuild. I don't read replies or reactions

Like this direct quote from Tom Stewart; “It was good, obviously any sort of talent we can attract to the club is important for us, so I had the opportunity to meet with him and it is an interesting thing for me in my stage of the career, but it went well, he’s a good man"

    People conveniently ignore that fact
  8. I don't hate Collingwood, so when they win premierships it doesn't bother me. The more you hate them, the more pain you'll experience when they win.

Relax, it's just football, it's nothing important

Collingwood definitely have problems, but I guess our issues got the media attention while Collingwood flew under the radar

Footy Furnace did report that we'll get pick nine, but still called the club "a mess"

    ...and possibly Pickett.

Yeah, people pick out the information that suits them and ignore the rest. Classic confirmation bias.

It's getting too late in the trade period for this deal to get done. He'll be a Melbourne player for at least another twelve months.

Even if a person names their source, people still won't believe them, so there's really no point. They can't win either way.

Looks like the Bulldogs will have to accept one first rounder which means Geelong can offer us their future first plus a percentage of his wage

I'm in favour of trading Oliver because premierships are being won by teams moving the ball quickly through the corridor and Oliver isn't suited to that style of play. We need to get players in who are quick and good by foot.

Exactly right. People don't like what the story is saying so they go after the journalist

Tom Stewart confirmed the meeting took place between Oliver and Geelong

  23. "Tom is an experienced, competitive ruck, who we are excited to welcome to the club," Melbourne list boss Tim Lamb said. "He is an outstanding character, and will provide depth and maturity in our ruck stocks, Tim Lamb.
