Just finished watching the game now. How bad are the Eagles supporters. Standing ovation for Gaff when he comes off. Same again when they all got round him after his final 1/4 goal. After Biggs hit we (for the most part) all sat around thinking what [censored]. Certainty didnt applaud it!
  2. ??? Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit!
  3. I'd go with "Lukes" Guy Walker
  4. FWIW the footy news reporter guy on Triple M this morning said that we were in to Hannebury, but our interest has cooled in last couple of weeks

    I remain outraged! ?

Good to see Nicholls helping out the Cats with their warm up. Did three centre bounces for their mids/rucks, then ran all around their clearance work on the wing jabbering away. Even stuck his arm out to pay a mark for the leading forward. Fmd! Geelong by 10 goals
  7. Anyone know?
  8. I'm heading down to the cattery on Saturday Probably a silly question, but will I be able to get in to the VFL game on my AFL ticket?
  9. I thought Fritsch showed a bit down back. Couple of decent marks and laser passes out of defensive 50. Could be handy.
  10. Alex Rance would disagree, but I would hope the officiating of fouls in the AFL stays as far away from soccer as possible
  11. Spargo - needs a rest
  12. I choose to erase that game, and indeed that entire weekend of football from my memory

  14. Same. His first half on the weekend was pretty average. Fumbles, dodgy disposal.. etc. Second half he was a different player and was excellent. I'd nothing more than him to become the gun we all know he can be, but a good half of football is a bit too early to make the call, for mine.

Hunt practising torps out of the goal square. Most carried about 70m, right up the middle. His last one hit the egde of the centre circle so closer to 80m Now trying torps at the goals from his favourite pocket. Nailed one of them. All the rest were all over the place... ? Trac is warming up

I work just down the road from Etihad and getting a couple of hours in before the game starts. As at 10.30am, the roof was open. Hopefully they close it.
  18. Egg on the face of a lot of people who bagged the [censored] out of him here too....

Pathetic. And I'm not talking about Lever... Its always the same here. Rag on a player for whatever reason, bemoan drafting him, his continual selection, his limitations.. etc Nek minnit... wow guys, that guy is good! I remember eveyone here used to say Tmac was no good. How'd that work out? Last year Omac was the continual whipping boy. Levers turn now is it? Why not just spare yourselves and everyone else the premature rants, and wait.

I was standing next to Mark Stevens about this time last year during a training session and he was dead set trying to turn players leaving the field to get a rub down into some newsworthy injury. "Zoom in on <player> over there <cameraman>, I reckon he's done a hammy. Yep, yep, he has. He just touched it. Get a close shot please" Nek minnit... Player runs back on and resumes training.....
  21. Balic took several leave of absences didn't he, citing homesickness? Maybe the one year contract is simply the club not overcommitting incase there is more to it?
  22. Happy with the trade for a known quantity. To those upset with what we handed over, would suggest waiting till the end of the trade period before giving your final assessment. You only need to go back as far as 2015 to see why. Remember that trade period when we handed over 25 very early in the trade period for Melksham? Remember how ropable everyone was at the time? Subsequent schrewd moves after that turned our first round pick into two first round picks which we used to get Oliver & Weideman In Mahoney I trust!
  23. As a side note, something else Mahoney said (which we probably already know but I haven't heard it from myself from the club) is that Lever would help form part of a strong backline with Jetta, Hibberd, Hunt, Frost & OMac. Didn't mention TMac, which I think signals quite clearly their intentions for him next season.
  24. Also said that Jakes exit interview with the club was far from pleasant.
