  1. Ahahaha. Hat's off. This is top-shelf trolling.
  2. We obviously lacked positional flexibility last week with Watts forced into the ruck, and so Frost and Bugg in help to address this. But with Spencer/Gawn and Frost/Omac as like-for-like replacements, is there a possibility that Bugg will be playing a role up forward in place of Tim Smith? There's been a lot of talk about structures over personnel, so I'm not so sure that Goody has suddenly brought in Bugg for a run-with role against Freo at the G'.
  3. So who is Oz now? This thread is confusing. I wonder what Wonners is up to nowadays.
  4. Are you sure that's not a Yankee time format? So December the 5th,2015? Around the time our future record-breaking midfielder Clayton Oliver first dons the red & blue in anger.
  5. But you didn't even mention the MFC. Anyways, I'm interested in this stat breakdown. Do you have more to share?
  6. I don't see too many potential ruckmen in the Jetta family.
  7. And now that that curly question has been resolved, Spencer can fully concentrate on his game without any further existential distractions.
  8. We could do with a Lewis type right now.
  9. The '2017 delist' thread will be interesting this year. We're running out of players showing no signs of development.
  10. Why is Gawn being listed as a 'knee'? Is this a club' list?
  11. Wow. They are pretty big endorsements from the back-bench.
  12. 300 games club: Clooingwood - Tony Shaw & Gordan Coventry. Carton - Silvagni, Nicholls, Bruce Doull and Craig Bradley. Brisbane - Simon Black and Marcus Ashcroft. Adelaide - McLeod. Tyson. Roo, Hart. (Goody - 275 - more games than anyone who has ever played for Melbourne bar Neitz)
  13. I'll get the ball rolling: Adelaide - Richard Douglas 198 David MacKay 166 Rory Sloane 144 Sam Jacobs 135 Daniel Talia 125 Brodie Smith 123 Brisbane - Daniel Rich - 146 Tom Rockliff - 137 Dwayne Zorko - 104 Carlton *Kade Simpson - 268 Marc Murphy - 217 Bryce Gibbs - 212 Matty Kreuzer - 143 Dennis Armfield - 142 Ed Curnow - 112 . . . maybe we're not too sad after all . . .
  14. Boo.
  15. Just out of interest, Nat Jones is currently on 226 games - equal with Gary Lyon and Stan Alves. Next up is Russel Robs on 228 and then Todd Viney (233), Brett Lovett (235), and Jeff White on 236 (!).
  16. This seems like a really really sad list. Anyone care to do a comparative? If Jordan Lewis sees out his contract without too many further MRP indiscretions he'll end up with the games record 'while wearing a Melbourne jumper at the time'.
  17. Pay-wall. Care to summarise?
  18. I love the G' as well but I'm not sure that secures my spot in the team.
  19. Btw - cheers for your responses. Demonland after Dark can be a rewarding place on occasion.
  20. He was playing hero-football last year but was much more effective. I still think he's getting first hands on the ball way less this season so curious as to that. It may be that there's no instruction for Viney to sit back - but we have heard Oliver was being coached in a see-ball-get-ball manner and so maybe Viney has taken it on himself to sit back or is reluctant to get in Oliver's space? I assume you mean Oliver isn't getting in Viney's way? Danger and Selwood are seasoned mids so I'm not sure the comparison is valid (although Jack and Oliver have played nearly the same number of games together.) And the playing a hard tag - do you mean that's where you think Jack's role has changed? I thought he had already transitioned last year - but Stevens and Danger (for a period) were kept quiet. Or is Jack copping a hard tag? I don't know - it's hard to pick up on television. The favouring the left I hadn't noticed so much this year - perhaps because he's getting it less and getting caught much more frequently. I am interested in the mid-field as a collective and that's why I'm asking the question - because I also have no idea as to their specific roles. I don't disagree. But maybe he's already doing that and we're being harsh judges on his current output?
  21. There has been a link to this thread in the Powered by Google ads at the bottom of the scroll. As to why it was bumped is a mystery - but I guess it's a case of mistaken identity. Anywho, whatever did happen to Max?
  22. Nathan Jones has been freed up but could Oliver's rise be having an impact on Viney? I have no idea how the individual mid-roles work at the clearances but is it possible Viney is being asked to play a different role with Clarry given first dibs as the nominated primary extractor? Does anyone have clear observations here of a notable difference in set-up this year? I note till half-time vs. Geelong we'd only used the Jones/Viney/Oliver trio plus Tyson at the centre bounces (was this because Gawn went down or standard? Can anyone recall the set-ups after the break?). Posters have talked of Jack's hesitancy this season to date - but if there was one stat I wish was available it would be actual 'possessions' as to disposals - the number of times a player had clear hold of the ball. Jack would have ranked very highly in the past - always with the pill at the bottom of the pack - but he's not actually touching the ball anywhere as near as much so far this season. Curious to hear the thoughts of others.
  23. Last time Spencer was on the field in an AFL match?
  24. I think when making comparisons purely from an on-paper perspective, Jake Lever has a far more imposing name than Oscar MacDonald.
