On first glance Lalor looks like more of what we’ve already got, a big bull in the Trac Viney Tholstrup mould. The more you see of him though, he’s really quite quick, has good burst out of stoppage, and seems to be a really clean field kick who hits his targets. Could be a ripper, has played through injury this year and is only just scraping the surface of his talent.

We’ve blooded a lot of youngsters this year, how many look like they could be A graders? Maybe two? Windsor and Mcvee? A lot of role players in the mix, Howes,AMW,Tholstrup,Laurie, Kynan Brown etc. Let’s not pretend we’re brimming with exceptional youth, can’t believe it looks like we want to trade out our pick 5.

Long road ahead if we’ve got people like Alan Richardson and Tim Lamb contributing to these decisions.

Pick 27 for Mcadam is annoying 🤦‍♂️

Stkilda’s pick 6, 7 (Josh battle compo) and a future first (or second) for Trac? They’d have the money to take him on and are crying out for a marquee player. They were initially sniffing around Houston so they’re not hellbent on bringing in kids. That would set us up before Tassie big time. Perhaps if they continued on with their trajectory last year it would have been more appealing for Trac. He wouldn’t want to go there, but if you’re that desperate to get out you don’t call the shots.

Reeks of a move Lamb would make unfortunately, same mould as Hunter, Billings, Mcadam , these 28+ year old guys who we think we’re getting a bargain for but their clubs know are washed. McRae will be 31 next year, dogs aren’t playing him for a reason, if he was any good still, they would, pretty simple

JVR has some good traits but a lot of very ordinary ones for a key forward as well, not sure we can bank on him being our key forward for the next 10 years just yet
