  1. Nothing wrong with having more than one emblem/logo. Can appeal to different fan demographics.
  2. Went to the MCG today, was a beautiful sunny arvo for footy and the new look Dees under King put on a great performance. Sure there are a few kinks to iron out but we saw fun, attacking football and hope for the future. The Dees made the right call with 2025 clear out 👏 Stoked that the Dees beat the Sainters, they are already 0-2 ... take that TDK and JSOS! 😁
  3. I maintain my objection to after goal music but I do like listening to 'Rock the Casbah' ... more please JVR 😁
  4. Catching a bit of WB v Giants whilst doing some Saturday housework, Doggies looking quite good and possibly the main Vic contender this year?? Seems like an OK crowd for an interstate expansion club. Go Doggies (tipped them in my work tipping comp).
  5. 1968 was a Carlton Premiership year. Its an omen!! 😁
  6. The probability of that is high, lol.
  7. The antithesis of 'jogo bonito' ... that was ugly, especially the second half. But getting a win was important for CFC. A bye next week means the Blues are undefeated for a fortnight. Watch out AFL, thst sounds like the start of a run 😁
  8. ^^ @Diamond Jim What, the MCC Mayor risk being mowed down in a ghost Bentley with the spectre Bob Menzies sitting in the back seat? I think not! 👻 The lease is regulated by an Act of Parliament, haven't read the Act recently and have no intention of doing so right now 😁 Need to get a few pints into me in Town before heading to the MCG later this evening 🍻 🤤
  9. Hey, Parc de Princes does indeed have TP and running water 😁 Actually also has a first class training ground, an indoor training facility, a gym, a medical imaging centre, a merchandise store, a cafe and a club museum. It is used by the AFLW Demons and even used for VFL and AFLW grand finals 😉
  10. Tank, get Cochrane at #1 [take that Port] then bid for Walker when he comes up 😁
  11. Just now I was dusting off my Navy Blue beanie and trying on for size in anticipation of the MCG game tomorrow evening and then like a thunderbolt it me, this is merely a nefarious scheme designed so that Carlton cannot easily draft a potential star, in Cody Walker, relatively cheaply like Brisbane, C'Wood, GC Suns, Sydney and the Doggies have in recent times! [shakes fist towards the direction of Docklands] 😁
  12. I don't undetstand this notion that getting Caulfield was going to be quick and easy. You have many parties to deal with, public land under a trust, MRC land and you want to be seeking a substantial contribution to funding from 3 tiers of governnent (this notion that only the State Governnent is funding is simplistic). Lots of moving parts but I have never read anything that suggests it is off the table. Is Waverley an improvement on Gosch's Paddock/AAMI with admin at the MCG, indeed it is. Waverley was too small for the Hawks as there is only one oval. A decade ago that was ok, today it is not, given AFLW/VFLW and NGA Academy training. The Dees still have a decent and modern secondary facility at Casey (where VFL and some AFLW will be played). The Hawks were not in that position, they really had to move. Maybe its best to get the keys to Waverley ASAP as the Hawks are finding Dingley Tip too windy and who knows they may try to sneak back to Waverley for some training sessions 🌬 🌪 😁
  13. I heard Guerra on SEN, reading between the lines, Caulfield is 'Go' but some things still need to be ironed out. He was talking about a 3 to 5 year completion date.
  14. Would love it if the Dees could make the Saints start with 2 losses 🙏😁
  15. Great value. I paid $120 in Oct for a 3 game membership which was upgraded to a 6 game flexi (but seems that I was issued 8 barcodes, maybe I misread something). Anyways, if you don't have a membership yet, get a 10 flexi for $100 👍 Carn the Dees (except on 29 March 😁)
  16. Normally I barrack for anyone against the dirty Pies and I used to harbour fondness for the Saints but I wish nothing but the worst for the St Kilda this season. Hoping for a very bruising draw for tonight 😁 Actually tipped the Pies, I know they have significant outs but I think McCrae will drill the replacements to play his system. Plug and play. Really not sure what to expect, nothing will surprise me. Go MRO and physios! 😁
  17. Lions v Doggies the only entertaining, close game of this absurd Opening Round ... Carn the Doggies ...
  18. I would say all three. Geelong won't be a Premiership front runner but they will get better and probably be in the finals and when you are in the September mix you then need a run of quality games at the right time to pull it off.
  19. Pittonet & Reidy was a fail against the Swans. Carlton must go back to to Pittonet only with another player up forward pinch hitting in the ruck.
  20. I can't stand music after each goal a la Brisbane, please stop with this this moronic Americanisation of sports here 👎👎
  21. There are definite issues with fitness, similar fade outs to last season. Admittedly, it was humid up there, north of the Murray in The Nepo Baby territories. The Swans are super fit and conditioned, perhaps even too much for early in the season 🤔 Anyways, the other Northern Nepo Babies dusted up Geelong so not feeling as morose as this morning 😁 Just heard a tv commentator say that the GC Suns fielded 12 First draft picks. Twelve!! AFL is becoming more like the WWE as each year passes with this this tilted draft system and moronic concepts like Opening Round 🙃
  22. The Blues looked quite solid up until early in the 3td quarter then a diabolically bad capitulation ensued. First game debutants Jagga Smith and Harry Dean showed that they will be real footballers. Walsh looked like he was moving freely and he had a good game. That is a positive. Cripps showed poor leadership tonight. I can't see Voss coaching Carlton in 2027. This will be a transitionary, development year for CFC. As for the Swans, they showed in the second half of the game just how much of a threat they can be. Won't count for much as they will still shrink in the pressure of a Grand Final.
  23. Swans have been sloppy at times, Blues looking solid considering playing at the SCG, always a tough away gig ... interesting to see what happens in the second half ...
  24. Thanks for not deporting me to cyber detention in El Salvador. Feeling the love DL ❤️😁😎
  25. The Salanitri Bros are Dees fans, Andrew Manfre nominally follows Richmond but isn't really that into footy. They were on Gus & Gawny's podcast a few years back ...
