  1. needed to blow them out last quarter. Our opportunity to have % for the year is gone.
  2. We're not playing WCE. We're playing a VFL reserves team.
  3. So you thought the 2nd quarter wasn't pathetic?
  4. We got the results our list at the times deserved. Our team today vs a WCE team that is probably equivalent to a VFL seconds teams shouldn't restrict us to 1 goal in a quarter. should be 6-8 goals every quarter.
  5. Pathetic 2nd quarter. Absolutely pathetic. This is a great opportunity to have our percentage sorted for the year but no, 1 goal for the quarter. Not good enough. This is what happens when you play in 2nd and 3rd gear all season, you don't know how to play 4 quarters and play offensive football. Not impressed. P.S get petracca out of the forward line. If he isn't the worst set shot for goal in the AFL then I don't know who is.
  6. Just like Lord Travis said, anything under 60 isn't good enough. We need % to be higher than Brisbane and Freo. Have the game won by half time (5 goals up) is the main thing and then completely overrun them in the 2nd half. They've still got dangerous forwards in Kennedy, Darling and Ryan.
  7. It can be frustrating but we always find a way to make things a grind. Dees by 30.
  8. I don't understand how people make these sort of comments. Have you seen his knee? Do you know the level of pain he is in? Do you know if he's even in any pain? Do you know the nature of the injury? Do you know if it can get worse throughout the game? Do you know if playing can aggravate the injury? Do you know if playing puts him at risk for further injury? Do you know if he doesn't play, how he can keep his fitness up for the following week without doing any running? Unless you know the answer to all of these questions, surely you trust the medical team that are actually professionals.
  9. I actually prefer Brayshaw in the backline than on the wing. I feel like he is much better in defence. But I don't blame him for wanting to be an inside mid somewhere. He could be a top 5 Brownlow finisher if given a full time inside mid role somewhere.
  10. it's hard to get excited when we don't have a first rounder.
  11. I'd much prefer to lose Brayshaw than Jackson though. If we lost Jackson, are we going to be the next Geelong and spend the next 10 years trying to find a ruckman?
  12. Yeah I agree. A lockdown defender is definitely a need, along a tall kay forward (Van Rooyen is still a wait and see prospect) and we need a good defender for life after May.
  13. I'm sorry but if Brayshaw wants to go to Freo, I want their first rounder or future first.
  14. I respectfully disagree. You call it evading, I call it milking. He milks frees. Weightman is much worse and I hate the way he plays. As good as Pickett is, he makes the easy seem difficult sometimes. Often trying to goose-step an opponent three times before getting past him. Dude, just fake one way and go the other.
  15. nice :) well in cold weather I'd say about 4-6 weeks to bind.
  16. Are you saying Pickett doesn't throw his head back or lead with the head? Please, he's one of the worst at that. Not that I mind too much, but he does.
  17. Yeah it's true. it's hard not to focus on the last moments. Like when Geelong played Sydney and a 22m kick to Cameron was called not 15. But I agree, we shouldn't be leaving any games to chance. It's too risky in todays game of inconsistent umpiring.
  18. My respect lol. I love the Sam Collins pick. The guy plays with Steven May type passion.
  19. Guys like Spargo, Pickett, Bowey etc. are starting to flail a bit and earn those frees. We've definitely had a good run. I felt that at the beginning of last season our players weren't really playing for anything and that hurt us. Even in that game against Adelaide when the Adelaide clearly hit the ball out of bounds deliberately in the last 10 seconds and not a single dees player appealed for a free. That cost us 4 points. Yes, it was one of the worst non- decisions of 2021 but you've got to make it easy for the umpire to blow the whistle.
  20. Complete hypothetical. If you could have a player from any team to join our list, who would you choose? You can either go all out for the flag or bring in youngsters to help sure up the future. Up to you! I've done a Top 10 1. A. Naughton 2. S. Walsh 3. B.King (I think he's better than Max) 4. C.Curnow 5. Bailey Smith 6. Zac Bailey 7. Shai Bolton 8. Horne-Francis 9. Sam Taylor 10. Isaac Heeney I've gone for a slight preference for Key Forwards up top because that's where we lack the most depth. Also, life after Ben Brown. I've also valued younger players as they are more valuable to a list as they have more seasons in them.
  21. You're definitely entitled to your opinion. But obviously the AA selectors thought he was better than Langdon. But regardless, at the very least he was in the mix for AA so that put him in the top 3rd of our list. I agree that stats aren't everything.
  22. Sorry mate, I think you're way off in your assessment of Amon. He's a pure wingman and was in the AA squad, Langdon wasn't. A very strong case could be made that Amon was ahead of Langdon last season. We've got an amazing system at the moment and in premiership teams your average players look better than they really are. Amon slots straight into the starting 18 and room would simply be made for him. I'm not remotely interested in how Amon is going in a Port Adelaide side that has been struggling a lot. Amon is icing on the cake sort of guy. Port will ask for a first rounder, but due to leverage, I think a 2nd rounder and a future 3rd will get it done. A 2nd rounder (Around pick 30-35) isn't enough.
  23. %. I know this is projecting really far fwd but we have Freo (Perth), Carlton (MCG) and Brisbane (Qld) in 3 of the last 4 weeks. Hopefully % doesn't matter but if it does I want it to be higher than Brisbane and Freo. I want us to finish top 2 and get a home final.
  24. we should be aiming to beat WCE by 100.
