  1. 2 quick goals to Bulldogs..their smalls going well
  2. Bulldogs 7.6.48 Casey 4.1.25. Half time. Warm overcast conditions. I would say Bulldogs have had the best of the wind both quarters.
  3. K Turner is playing in the backline.
  4. I believe Casey playing Bulldogs tomorrow
  5. I may have been in error in attributing the sloppy return and 50m penalty to Roan Steele. If so, apologies to young Roan.
  6. Okay, I've crunched the numbers. 99.9% of followers detest the music after a goal. The only vote in favour was the mother of the bloke that pushes the play button. So why in hell does the AFL persist? It just doesn't make sense.
  7. Very fair comment. I should have acknowledged the 5. But the incident I spoke of was within a couple of minutes of final siren.
  8. JvR improved as day went on..some impressive "clunks". Schache let himself down when, with less than a goal in it, with the ball in contest in their forward half, he thought he would protest the absence of a free kick to him, rather than compete for the ball. Richmond possession. Casey players: Burgoyne did similar to Schache early in game when he nonchalantly jogged along behind a ball that looked like it might go out. It didn't. Richmond waltz in, grab it and goal. Goonan competed very well. As always, Munro in it all day. Mitch White was missed and is needed back in team. George Grey injured early, little impact but very clever goal late in game. Roan Steele competed quite well, marred by a sloppy return of ball to a Richmond player which resulted in a 50m penalty to tigers and a goal. Team will improve on that performance.
  9. Not real good. I would have thought, if nothing else, Melbourne supporters would be interested how the listed players fared.
  10. Casey do have a practice match next week...on Friday.
  11. I don't think any revenue shortfall would or should necessarily be borne by players. I don't think any AFL and club administrators along with coaches and assistants ( who together outnumber players ) would desert their posts having been offered similar money elsewhere. I'm far from puritanical, but one more cross to Nathan Brown and I will....not sure quite what.
  12. Good on him. Does the AFL need the money that badly ?
  13. In the absence of a long term injury, not sure that is even possible. I stand to be corrected. Casey isn't the easiest team to get a game! Perhaps the focus should be on that at this stage. Sometimes there are very limited spots after listed players, who I assume are automatically selected. But good luck to all the Casey aspirants.
  14. I have read and watched the statements and interviews. Jack seems affronted that he was filmed in a toilet cubicle. There is no remorse. Only regret he was caught. Andrew Dillon should get an equivalent penalty for poor grammar. He is paid more than Jack.
  15. I'm missing something. 2 games at vfl level with very average stats that don't come close to Corey Ellison's, who didn't put a foot wrong at Casey. And Ellison went forward once at Werribee and kicked 5? in a half in a tough game. But, I wish the young fellow well.
  16. It must be a very committed group of Casey non listed players with limited spots available, particularly given the firsts relatively good run with injuries.
  17. Well done. Would have preferred 2 stages...first the mohawk.
  18. Plenty to look at with Casey demons in 2023. Fairly different team. No Bedford, Baker, Mitch Brown or Ellison. Probably no Chandler who should get game time in the ones.
  19. If Chandler isnt picked in the One's 22, I think his head will explode. Tried his heart out last year.
  20. I believe that training is at Casey Fields today but it's a closed session.
