I hope Henderson gets a call up sooner rather than later I know he only joined the list a couple of weeks ago but we’re seriously lacking in small forwards at the moment

Jackson was excellent today FWIW I forgot just how important his follow up work was for us in 2021 and 2022 - his ability to become an extra midfielder is second to none amongst big men

Very curious if there is any truth to this I don’t see it happening but maybe the door opens with Kozzy wanting to go home 🤷‍♂️

Positives - Clarry, Trac and contested footy dominance in the second half Negatives - poor skills and decision making from some of our lower tier players, as well as getting sliced open on turnover in the second quarter Overall a good hit out and just glad that we escaped with no injuries (except back spasms) and were able to avoid another blowout loss to Freo

Not sure Max Viney’s tackling classes have done much unfortunately - we haven’t been able to stick tackles all day

And can we please never look to pass to Billings in fwd 50 Have never seen a worse kick for goal in my life - you can just chalk it up for a behind every time

Clarry and Tracc have been massive positives But not sure about Ed and Rivers as centre bounce midfielders I don’t think Ed has the power and evasiveness to play the role, and I think unfortunately Rivers has been found out against the better midfields (despite his strong showing against weaker ones)

Season lives and dies on JVR and Pickett picking up slack in our fwd line - our only genuinely threatening tall and small respectively

I’ve been saying this amongst other Dees supporters for years now - far and away the best emblem we’ve ever had Plus retro is very much in vogue these days - I reckon you could reintroduce it with some minor touch ups and it wouldn’t look dated at all Bring back “Give Em Hell” while we’re at it

He should also think about adjusting his hours as part of a flexible work arrangement - one week on one week off?

I know we could never match what the Saints are offering (and I don’t think he leaves the Blues anyway), but geez he’d be almost the ideal player for us to chase A first or second ruck option who can genuinely play forward - not many of them around

What a whirlwind for Culley - gets delisted by West Coast, trains the house down at Melbourne before missing out on our first SSP spot only for a second to open up a few days later 😱 Anyway glad to have him despite AMW’s unfortunate injury I reckon the Eagles just might regret delisting him

Not a bad debut at all! And from following a few of the other practice matches it seems like he had one of the better stat lines of the other rookies who played I reckon we’ve got one here

I personally didn’t see his pace as an issue at all He’s not quick but he’s got high footy IQ and great positioning - it’s almost like he knows he’s not quick but can use his smarts find space Had an absolutely beautiful lace out kick inside 50 at one point too

MFC socials confirming McAdam being moved to the inactive list this morning Poor Shane, but hopefully official confirmation of Henderson joining later today

Langford, Sharp and one of AJ/Jefferson would be my tip, with Henderson a smokey considering Kozzy and Kolt won’t be available, and question marks over Spargo

Love Green as a player but it’s a huge win for us They’ll need Cogs and Kelly to play like they did five years ago or guys like Callaghan to make the step up to match us in there Of course they can still beat us on the outside, but we’ll take what we can get!
