It wasn't just him and I don't think it had anything to do with boots either. It appeared to me that the surface was letting go. In some of the interview footage you can clearly see the surface is patchy and getting to the muddy stage. It wouldn't be a surprise that WA hasn't put the best drainage in (like the "G") as they think they don't need it because they don't get a lot of rain but do get a lot of wind.

I was in the same camp as W'dee (unusual I know) regarding the BB vs Weid debate up until half time. By the end of the game Brown had worked out how to play the ground and his opponents. The major factor; his one grab marks, including in contested and pack situations. BB took 6 marks in a half of football. Weid took 3 in an entire game last week. I do hold hope for Weid but he needs to put a substantial run of form together at Casey if he is to replace BB on a permanent basis. On another note; our under 20 brigade are coming along nicely.

The wide open mouth is actually a key to his running ability, endurance and repeat efforts. I'm pretty sure it's a technique used by a number of elite athletes to increase their O2 intake. If you watch him closely the harder he is working the wider his mouth gets.
