I once met a Dogs supporter (honestly the only one I've ever met that I'm aware of). It was in the park when I was having a kick in 2004. He told me the Essendon 2000 side should have been a dynasty. I told him there can only be one dynasty at a time, and it was a pity (not really) the lions existed.

I’ll play it by ear but here’s the most likely way it plays out: I’ll attempt to drink myself into oblivion on the Friday night in hopes of waking up at 2:30pm on Saturday and most of the waiting behind me. Upon waking up I’ll probably heave, then amble around the block a few times on a run powered entirely by nervous energy. Then it will be a shower and back to the bar fridge for the next 4 hours.

First lesson: Steer clear of guys with shifty surnames. Costa and Shokman aren't even subtle as far as pantomime villain last names go. Messers Rippov and Forklous are next.

Give me the simple life thank you very much. I would never want to put myself through the stress of a big investment or owning a business. Sure the payoff could be great, but if it goes wrong your life can be absolute hell.

Dogs have to win this by 70+ to make it the most lopsided Prelim week in V/AFL history. I want them to do it so we can add it to the "Embarrassing records" thread, which I think over time will need a new name.

Awful prelim final weekend for neutrals. Last night was amazing for dees fans and tonight is amazing for dogs fans I'm sure, but how fun could a smashing be to sit through if you're not invested in the winning team?

Jeez you feel for the Lions. To lose by a point to what will be the 2nd grand finalist after some dodgy umpiring decisions, just one week after being bulldozed by the 1st grand finalist. Brissie would be 5 goals up vs Port tonight, looking at a grand final berth, and every Melbourne supporter would be licking their chops.

Let's be real, neither we nor the Bulldogs have played a quality opponent in our prelims. It makes picking a likely winner in the GF very difficult.

Dogs will be worried about Gawn and Jackson, May and Lever, Harmes on Libba, Brown's height, our two way running. It's the grand final. Both sides are obviously going to have strengths.

Dogs have a powerful midfield, but it's their work at ground level in the forward line that has me most worried. It is our kryptonite because we set up to win the aerial contest. Oh for a prime Neville Jetta.

Massive goal by the dogs after Port pushed for the past 5 minutes for no reward on the scoreboard. So many passengers for Port. The only thing they have going for them is they're fresh and the dogs have played every week.

2 clear frees gone begging for Port in their forward 50. One high tackle, then a clear holding the ball. Dixon is such a spud.

There's Wines. Boy did they need that.

Good thing we have other strings to our bow. Not saying it'll be easy. On this form I'd prefer to play Port too. Not looking likely.
