  1. I recall it was vs the Saints. Our Round 3 win was vs Geelong.
  2. People calling for Fritsch to be dropped have no idea. He and Pickett were the only ones who knew how to score a goal when the whips were cracking. 6. Langdon 5. Gawn 4. Pickett 3. Fritsch 2. Hunt 1. Viney
  3. And Kozzy trotting along beside them both. Be still my beating heart.
  4. 6. Oliver 5. Salem 4. Tomlinson 3. Pickett 2. Petracca 1. Langdon
  5. We should pick our best side…based on the opposition.
  6. Absolute robbery. Missed throws from Geelong cost Brisbane ~18 points tonight from my count.
  7. Shades of Melbourne 2019 about Brisbane right now. EDIT: Wrote 2018, meant 2019, as in the inevitable come-down after an unexpected rise.
  8. Oliver ain't no leader. Being the best isn't being the leader.
  9. My thing with Oliver is he doesn't drive standards. He's a follower, and Melbourne will never win a premiership with followers because our history dictates we need everyone to drive us in the right direction or else our culture won't change enough to deliver a flag.
  10. Hey I watched on Kayo. Fact is I no longer have any desire to go to the footy. Keep me away from you filthy strangers please.
  11. I just watched this interview with Chocko and I've got to say I'm really stoked with everything he said. Talk is cheap, but there weren't many empty platitudes there. Time and time again he spoke of real examples where he has turned players around and delivered ultimate success. If things go well for us this year, Williams will be a key reason for that. If they go poorly, well we could do worse than Williams if Yze isn't the man to take the reigns from Goodwyn.
  12. One of the things I want to do before I die is watch Melbourne beat West Coast at Perth Stadium in a final. A prelim would be ideal, but anything to scrub the memory of $1,000 down the drain in 2018 off my soul.
  13. You're right. The water bottle is half-full.
  14. Without Trac we wouldn't have come within coo-ee of the top 8. He needs proper help though, and I'm hoping our midfield brigade can come along with him and get to that next level, not only individually but as a group.
  15. It took us 10 years to make amends but we finally show an old vet the respect he deserves.
  16. Deliberate should not be paid if a player appeals for it. Bringing the game into disrepute should be the charge instead.
  17. Lynden Dunn is someone who got more out of himself than (certainly I ever thought) he could. Congrats to him on a...long…career.
  18. I haven't stopped growing up since I was 25 and the penny finally dropped for me. Surely 29 isn't beyond the pale.
  19. After Scully (of course) I reckon James Frawley is the former Melbourne player most dead to me.
  20. My care for this footy season perished one windy evening in Cairns.
  21. End of an era. It was fun putting that little video together, and I'm well glad that something positive came out of the Jack Watts career! Still, I wonder what could have been had the club been in a better place to develop him.
  22. Talk is cheap. I'm still waiting to see the results of Brent Moloney's big speech.
  23. And the bulldogs go bang. Welp, I can't say it's been fun. See ya next year folks.
