It’s hard to know what deal would sway the club but I don’t mind having this ‘2 1st round picks for 4 years’ thing that we are in the middle of. It’s a good clump of talent at similar ages that reminds me of 2014-2016 when we got Salem, Petracca, Brayshaw, and Oliver. That really was the engine of our flag run.

I think most that are hopeful is because he is an established tall forward and we have only had Ben Brown since Hogan left. Our problem has not been the lack of a big forward to win us games - it has been the cumulative failure of terrible ball movement, spasmodic and glacial decision making, and pathetic forward craft from those that are meant to attract the ball. Mihocek solves that last bit, and gives a chance to King to make headway on the ball movement and decision making.

Will love this player and what he brought to the club. But things change and we took on so much water through Clarry and it has led to this outcome. We did the best thing for the new coach and the group and I know we will honour him and people can boo if they want but I won’t and I will just look forward to the Dees in 2026.
