Put them in a bubble through to 30 September. Only allowed to leave home to train, play and travel for interstate games. I'm sure the players will be up for that.

Backing in LD to win the 2022 Norm Smith medal.

Hibberd’s definitely not in my best 22 for this year.
-
Top shelf depth for this year. Probably misses round 1 if we’re at full strength. We’re in a great position to have May, Lever, Petty and Tomlinson fighting for 3 tall defender spots.

No issues with a 5 day lockdown before the kids go back to school and way before footy season.

THE NEW IMMORTALS by Whispering Jack
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Special Features
The 2022 flag will be even better than the 2021flag if the above scenario happens. -
If and it’s a big IF, Essendon can knock off Geelong (MCG) and Brisbane (Marvel) in the opening fortnight, I can see 65,000 for our round 3 Friday night game. This would effectively almost compensate for losing the QBDay gate this year. Ofcourse that’s dependent on us starting the year in good fashion.

The early season fixture lends itself to some significant game day membership sign ups. Dogs, Essendon and GWS all in the marquee night time slots.

Yes they made specific mention a few times that players were not allowed to mingle with supporters at the event. What's the bet the players all went out after and mingled with the general public for post drinks.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Anyone here part of that group of MFC supporters that meet every single Monday night just to re-watch the game? -
Harmes may have only finished 19th in the bluey but it sounded like he polled maximum votes on the night. Goody also sounded quite refreshed during his speech, but it was a good speech.

Hard to believe Fritsch kicked 59 goals in a season of footy but can’t crack the top 10. Although in fairness he plays in a position where you’re prone to a quiet game or 2.

Roffey speaks well.

You’d imagine they’d get the booster a day or 2 after a game, to allow 4-5 days before the next. Not ideal but haven’t heard of side effects lasting more than 48 hrs for most people.

Pert’s stuck in peak hour?

TRAINING: Friday 17th December 2021
Bring-Back-Powell replied to picket fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
I can see Sparrow taking a couple of centre bounces next year a quarter, and then spending a bit of time on the HF flank and the bench. His finals series was too good to ignore and he’s coming into his 4th year so he’s approaching his prime as a mature footballer. Probably best 22.- 62 replies

Tips for the 2021 MFC Best & Fairest tonight?
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Supreme_Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yeah, T Mac’s first half of the season was miles better than his second. He played some top shelf games against Freo, Richmond, Sydney and Carlton. -
Is Melbourne's midfield one of the best of all time?
Bring-Back-Powell replied to FlashInThePan's topic in Melbourne Demons
The 2013 big 4 of Mark Jamar, Nathan Jones, Matt Jones and Jordie Mckenzie with Rohan Bail and Jimmy Toumpas providing able support would also come close. -
We'd be doing seriously well if we can start 5-0 given we have the Dogs and Port in Adelaide. GWS at the G won't be a picnic either.
-
I don't think we'll ever be blessed to the extent we were in 2021. Hopefully blokes like Weid, J Smith, Hunt, Dunstan, Melksham and Tomlinson can slot in seamlessly the way Petty and Bowey did in 2021.

2021 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Petrracca owes this guy a beer. Salem should’ve won the Anzac eve medal given he kept us afloat in the first qtr and could not have played a better game in the GF, but his mate took both medals. He’s in the peak years now and has come a long way from suiting up with Casey in 2017. -
What they're saying about Max elsewhere
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Queanbeyan Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
We might be able to get away with one long term injury for these three but any more and I agree, we'll certainly drop out of the top 4 and maybe the 8 altogether. -
Are our double ups in 2022 really that much harder than 2021? In 2021 we played Dogs (2nd), Geelong (4th), GWS (6th), Hawthorn (14), Adelaide (15). We ended up having a tough fixture in 2021. And, our double ups in 2022 are very similar to Richmond's flag defense in 2021 when they played 3 top 6 teams twice from the previous year, like us for next year.

Agreed. We’re absolutely hopeless against North at Hobart. Even during a season when we win a flag and they cop the spoon, we still take 3 and a half qtrs to put them away at Blundstone.
