Christian Petracca a chance to win the 2023 Brownlow Medal?
Trac's potential high possession 3 vote games in our wins: Sydney - round 3 West Coast - round 4 North - round 7 Carlton - round 12 St Kilda - round 17 Brisbane - round 18 North - round 21 Sydney - round 24 I don't think he quite gets over the line this year. Would need to vote well in his lower possession games and pull off some 2's and 3's in losses.

Is our time at the top done?
Exactly my thoughts. Jake reeks of captaincy material and will be our skipper in 2025 IMO. The recent 4 year contract extension he signed all but confirms that I reckon. Outside of Max heโs essentially the face of the club with all the media he provides.

2023 GRAND FINAL
Could easily be only 3 wins if Milne got a better bounce or extra time was brought in for 2010.

2023 GRAND FINAL
Collingwood losing another grand final by under a goal would be the equivalent satisfaction and happiness of us beating North or West Coast by 8 goals. Hopefully the (long range) forecast holds up and the pies struggle in the heat.

Non-MFC: Finals Week 03
After two weeks of absolutely gut punching soul destroying losses, I honestly couldnโt care less that Collingwood won last night. Not worth the emotional energy. Assuming Brisbane make the GF, they may have a massive advantage if the weather forecast holds up. Mid to high 20โs. In 2001 Brisbane overrun Essendon on a 28 degree day. Maybe history repeats itself. Can Collingwoodโs manic defence hold up on very warm day?

Non-MFC: Finals Week 03
Carlton Iโll give you. Absolutely shouldโve won that game. Collingwood beat us fair and square on the night. We were asleep at the wheel in the first quarter and they started the game at finals intensity and grabbed a match winning lead at qtr time. Then in the third quarter they had all the answers by way of competent goal kicking.

Non-MFC: Finals Week 03
So what youโre telling me is a Collingwood V Carlton grand final will sell out but a Collingwood V Brisbane will not sell out?

Non-MFC: Finals Week 03
I think his season has been slightly over hyped. 12.17 for the season. If he did that at Melbourne heโd be lynched by all and sundry.

Non-MFC: Finals Week 03
Interesting that in the post game presser Kingsley basically had a go at the stringent concussion rules which saw one of better players in Daniels go off in the final minutes for an HIA and subsequently pass with flying colours. However last week you had Waitering who looked like he went 15 rounds with Mike Tyson and was about to collapse in front of 95,000 people, only for the AFL to come out and congratulate Carltonโs medical team on their handling of the matter. Makes perfect sense I guessโฆ.

Non-MFC: Finals Week 03
Bedfordโs been a bit overrated this year if you ask me. Kicked 12.17 for the year and missed a crucial goal early in the 3rd qtr tonight which wouldโve given GWS some much needed confidence and ascendancy.

Non-MFC: Finals Week 03
I will be attending the Grand Final as an AFL member and if Carlton beat Collingwood then Iโll reluctantly take it.

Non-MFC: Finals Week 03
At the game tonight. The silence at half time is akin to watching an MFC practice match at Casey, at half time. The pies supporters are rattled. They assumed that 2023 was their god given right to win a flag after their prelim heart break last year. May it continue into the second half.

Non-MFC: Finals Week 03
Go the Giants. Please do the state of Victoria a favour and punt the filth out of another finals series.

TMac & Brown
Would be around the $650K mark at a guess. I would assume the club and player will come to a financial settlement and he retires in the coming weeks. Not sure the club will be keen on nursing him for the third time in four years, albeit did get a significant pay off in 2021.

Non-MFC: Finals Week 03
Heading to the game tonight. Hopefully the atmosphere will be flatter than a funeral at 10:30pm tonight. That's the only consolation I'll take out of this disastrous September campaign.

Trade Rumours 2023
Putting his previous off field issues and current injury issues aside, Iโm in total agreement. Absolute pure football talent is Liam Ryan and can actually kick the prune. However I canโt see him wanting to move and I canโt see why WC would want to move one of their rare forward talents

Cool light of day
Agree that we were the better side last week aside from our conversion. Even Carlton supporters will concede we were the better side. However the Pies were the better side on the night of the QUAL final, certainly for 3 quarters, and held a 3-5 goal lead for almost the entire night. Yes it was a golden opportunity but the Pies were ultimately too good for us when the game was up for grabs early.

Is our time at the top done?
Can anyone provide further details on this?

How do players lose the skill of kicking straight?
Joel Smith doesn't seem too phased by the set shot pressure. I don't think he missed one since Kings Bday. 11.4 for the season and consideration needs to be made for him to retain his position in the forward line next year. A Carlton supporter I spoke to post game seriously rated his performance last week.

Bruise free footy
Our suspensions let us down this year in marginal losses the following week: 1) Kozzie round 1 - lose to Brisbane in round 2 by a margin that Kozzie could've pegged back on his own. 2) Sparrow round 9 - lose to Port in round 10 3) Hunter round 10 - lose to Freo in round 11 4) JVR QF - lose to Carlton in SF 5) Kozzie SF - round 1 2024?? (and would have depleted our forward line even more if we got through to the prelim)

The Neal-Bullen non goal
As stated yesterday, the Adelaide V Sydney goal umpiring howler would have had to be the AFL's lowest moment since the competition changed its name in 1990. Cost a side a finals series. Do people really think they would have made the most unforced howler 4 weeks later by incorrectly overturning a goal that should not have been overturned. I think not. They clearly had conclusive evidence that wasn't available for the broadcaster to show the viewers.

The Neal-Bullen non goal
After the Adelaide debacle, do posters genuinely believe that the AFL are going overturn a goal at the break of play if they're not 500% sure it was or wasn't touched?
