You cannot blame the players or injuries or bad luck; it's appalling, arrogant coaching. An inability to react and adapt to what's right in front of your face. No contingency just stubborn whipping the dead horse for some egotistical high. I am prepared to put forward my share to pay Simon out. If the rest of the dissapointed members feel so inclined, it would be easy to raise the cash and it would mean not having to put up with that crap for the remainder of SG's contract. Of highest importance is the mandatory elevation and securing of Adem Yze to Senior coach ASAP. We must not hesitate as he is likely to go elsewhere should we dawdle. This is a crucial moment in the clubs history. A cleanout of all support coaches so that Yze might coose his own dream team. At the very least take a poll of all the members who have paid to endure that garbage as to their preference of coach going forward.

Include- Dunstan, Bowey and 1 of Mitch Brown, JVR, Tom Mac or Joel Smith. Outs- Pettraca, Alex NB, Melksham.

Is our best THE best? I am not convinced. Based on what? It is not impossible that Melbourne will win the flag but it is the least likey outcome. That is not negative or positive but a realistic assesment on exposed form. The Demons certainly have the capacity but presently lack the spark, ingenuity, resourcefulness, stamina and 'intangibles' being demonstrated by other serious opponents. The little spoken of and a legitimate danger is Richmond.

It was pleasing to finally see Salem's touch returning against Collingwood; notwithstanding the missed goal. I bet that's the last time he misses from there in his career. He is by far the most creative and skillful player at Melbourne [with the exception of Pikett in full flight]. Perpetually and criminally underrated by opposition teams; to see the first green shoots appearing after returning from injury had me jumping for joy. 'Noodles' as we call him, was the architect of the vast majority of our victories last year and if he is up and about his work enables everyone else to properly execute. I don't have any suggestions regarding forward options yet it is clear that something or someone needs to set alight the dynamics inside 50. Try Petty, try May, try JVR, try Smith but don't do nothing and expect it to click. That will not suffice.

I have put a new curse on this club. We didn't receive our scarves this year despite being told they were 'in the mail'. When I rang to query some months later was told condescendingly it was 'my fault' for not ticking a box...what a load of garbage. My family have contributed financially to the various dysfunctional versions of 'leadership' offered up by this club over the past 20 years, consistently buying memberships that we could not really afford. We seldom attended games but wanted to help out. It's cheap, unprofessional and disorganized of the club to act with such arrogance and contempt. I am unsurprised that performance is dropping if this is how the show is now run. Everything counts when it comes to winning and even then you need to get lucky. If you can't respect your supporters, sharing in the success and honouring our commitment you deserve to lose! This team are now hunted, predictable and slow. Darren Burgess has been seriously underrated for the contribution to last years victory. Of course there is no such thing as a curse. There doesn't need to be! Unacceptable Melbourne.
