  1. So much for the myth that Lever can't function without May.
  2. Disagree. We've all seen what Pickett can do when he's at his best. And 2021 showed that Brown and Tmac can be very damaging when they're both fit.
  3. I feel that Petracca is badly under-represented here. In terms of natural talent and watchability, he's very high in the list of best Melbourne players over the past 20 years. If he improved his goalkicking he'd be absolutely unstoppable.
  4. The best 5 players of my lifetime (20 years) would be: 1. Gawn 2. Oliver 3. Petracca 4. Neitz 5. Yze
  5. Oliver is so glorious to watch when he's on the outside.
  6. The Gawn/Grundy combo looks top notch already.
  7. If Hunter plays like this during the actual season then he'll end up being the recruit of the year.
  8. It would be helpful if our record at the MCG matches our record outside Victoria.
  9. They're easily the two best ruckmen of the modern era. As @DubDee said, it's very hard to split them. That being said, Gawn's 2018 season was probably better than anything Cox produced.
  10. 1. Langdon and Hunter become a formidable wing duo. 2. Brown regains his fitness and kicks 40+ goals. 3. Fritsch finally gets an AA jacket.
  11. He's already had two seasons in which he's kicked 40+ goals. That's insane for a 21-year-old small forward.
  12. He's off his head. Langdon was exactly the kind of player we were lacking when we recruited him.
  13. Oh well. Weideman's career at Melbourne hasn't panned out in the way we hoped but he'll always live with that Elimination Final.
  14. Oliver's football resume to date: -3× All Australian -4× Best and Fairest -2× AFLCA player of the year -Premiership player It's insane to think that this guy is barely half way through his career.
  15. Sickening to watch Geelong play well. And a comment on how we let things slip up.
  16. We've only woken up when it's too late. Infuriating.
  17. Imagine if all our players were as accurate as Fritsch.
  18. This is a slow car crash.
  19. Loving ANB's game so far.
  20. He must be livid about tonight's result. He almost carried the team in the third quarter. He's an absolute freak. I don't know where we'd be without him.
  21. Oliver's will to win is off the charts.
  22. Spargo's been on fire this quarter.
  23. I'm glad thad Fritsch's season has been recognised. I'd go so far as to say that he's been the best medium forward for two years.
  24. I honestly won't be bothered if we end up playing at our first final at the SCG. I always back us to win big games outside Victoria.
  25. What a win! Without a doubt that was our best performance of the year. I knew from the opening bounce that we were on. Our forwardline finally clicked. Brown, Melksham, Pickett and Fritsch can all take a bow. Bring on the Swans. If we play like we did tonight, we'll have them covered regardless of where we play.
