What a surprise

Bringing Petty in for kicking 2 goals is going back to the well and coaching for your job. Same as bringing Spargo back in. Can’t wait for his 6 kicks at 90% DE.

I was there watching it behind the glass in the AFL members opposite end to my normal view. I think playing Tholstrup & Windsor in the seniors at the moment is detrimental to the team and their individual development. Both of them are lost out there, if you’re going to back in players. Why not pick the in form Casey Demon listed players. Laurie, Culley, Kentfield or Mentha? Goodwin will stick to his favourites though, unless May gets suspended it’ll be one or two changes and the usual Spargo in for an underwhelming VFL performance. Tholstrup is giving us nothing, why not bring in some pace? Have a look at Mentha or Brown?

Tholstrup is no good. Someone on here tell me what his strength is? If I was Laurie or Woewoden, I’d be on the phone to my manager asking who is interested.

There’s mediocrity and then there is just pure stupidity. I was hopefully we could bounce back quick this year. But we are miles off it. You can’t expect this list to be performing the same as 2021. It’s older at the top end and our youth is less experienced. Internally they knew this year was a development year, but in classic MFC fashion they didn’t communicate that to anyone.

My god.. Blind Freddy could tell you our list is no where near the 2021 list.

Thats ridiculous. ANB burst on to the scene as a pressure forward who could kick goals. kolt is no where near ANB at the moment.

You can say what you want about Adrian at the Deebrief. Agree with him or not. He is more than willing to debate his point of view with anyone who gives him the time, so I say good on him! He represents his generation of Melbourne supporters perfectly. I’m about the same age. We aren’t as jaded as the older rusted ons, but have enough MFCSS to get it. The boys are passionate and vocal and have given the fan base on online presence that is otherwise silent. Much like the “Dees Podcast” did back in 2015.

No what I’m getting at is. If only 1 play or 2 players are omitted on a Thursday for a Sunday. Only 1 or 2 can be bought in. Excluding late outs. So when Sharp was the only player omitted. We could only choose one from the squad named.

Ok then. Was our list in 2022 and 2023 as a whole better than Richmond’s in 2017-2020 or Hawthorn’s 2013-2015. Short answer is No! We had a gun back line and midfield and a bits and pieces forward line. We did well to get the jump on the comp in 2021 but we were very quickly figured out in 2022 onwards.
