  1. This gets me so fired up. Lets go Mooooose. Also long shot but by the end of the trade period we may have the Bison, Bear and Moose in the same team.
  2. Sad to lose a Dees legend but if we can somehow turn this into a Leek Aleer that could be the best out of a bad situation. I know we have some great tall defender stocks in Disco, Petty and Lever. However, like others have mentioned, Adams is not yet a proven AFL footballer, Lever has recently been injury prone and its likely is Tmac last year and definitely is May's. Adams may well be our man but I don't see how added competition for spots can ever be a bad thing. In saying that, it is more likely we receive a pick back depending on how much of Clarry's contract we are willing to pay.
  3. This. We will soon find out what our new Dees leaders are made of. Are we firm and resolute in our position or are we the same old timid club that accepts mediocrity.
  4. Agree that a player's perspective would be important in the facilities design but then Waverley would be an interesting first location for such research given the many other superior facilities. You may be right though and this is one of many facilities that the Dees crew visit or at least the first which is public knowledge. I was just speculating but of course time will tell.
  5. Agree. You don't send the incoming president, CEO and vice captain to Waverley as part of the 'design process' for Caulfield. It just doesn't make much sense given the unique residential layout/build of Waverley. I think (and am hoping) that they considering Waverley as a temporary home while Caulfield progress over the next 3-5 years. These things always take longer than anticipated so it would be a smart move if it is financially viable to execute without jeopardising Caufield.
  6. Humphrey may have been a Dees fan growing up 👀 https://www.instagram.com/p/CSTKbuNFicQ/
  7. Demon Time changed their profile photo
  8. Agree, 'adapt to how I want the game played' tells me he is a serious operator who will demand the respect of the players. If players aren't committed or can't adjust to his game plan, they are asked to explore their options. I've liked his few appearances in the media so far, clear and direct much like Chris Scott.
  9. Don't understand some of the criticism on King continuing his role with Geelong for the remainder of their finals campaign. Firstly, as GW has mentioned, it is a sign of good character that he isn't jumping ship without regard for his current employer. But I think more importantly, he is gaining even more valuable finals coaching experience which will assist him as senior coach at the Dees. In fact, despite my disdain for them, I now hope that Geelong go the whole way and win it all. This is experience that can only help us as we will have coach who knows exactly what it takes to get to and win on the big stage. King could be fresh off a flag at the most successful and well-run club of the last 20 years and bring those standards, systems and composure to us - which we desperately need.
  10. Any idea if Rivers trained with the mids or stayed with the backs? He had a little over 50% CBAs against the Hawks
  11. Fritta very lucky - last chance to impact the scoreboard or back to the magoos (if Goody has any selection integrity)
  12. Stoked with the pick, welcome Harvey - hopefully another mid to follow.
  13. Petty in the backline is what I've been waiting to hear - huge result
  14. There definitely is - checked earlier and again now...still there. Edit: didn't see your replies ET before commenting
  15. I definitely agree that Gawn AA fatigue may play a factor. I think Xerri has had a phenomenal year and has to be on the interchange. However, if the AA panel is completely objective, I think they have to pick Gawn on field. I think people are sick of Gawn dominating for so long and want someone new which is ridiculous reasoning but it wouldn't be surprised me if they overlook him this year. Hope I am wrong though. Gawn's 7th AA jacket would solidify him as the greatest ruckman of the modern era for me (I already think he is but another jacket puts him above Cox for sure). If I am being completely honest I think he is the greatest ruckman of all time but that may be my demon goggles and recency bias since I can't speak to a lot of the guns from back in the day.
  16. We have to take this pick to the draft and pick up a quality midfielder who can play in the red & blue for the next 10 years. While I rate Houston and some of the other potential trade targets, none of them are more valuable than this pick. Praying Alan Richardson goes back on his earlier comment about trading our pick for older players. Our list management has been good in the past, got to back them in to pick a future gun.
