How many years has Viney been at the club and no coach has got hold of him and absolutely bashed him until he ldeveloped a right side. Should have been told “ you dont kick on your left until further notice, if ya do its 40 pushups and 50 laps”
-
Absolutely corrupt umpiring
-
Could have picked why they got Mumford in this week. “Go out and see how soft they are, jump In to Max all night and pick off some of the smaller guys”
-
I would love to see them go the double Wagner option - I could do with a laugh right now.
-
Give you two words - Jordan Lewis. Hated him as a Dawks player but he gave us spine
-
It was noticeable that there were a few of the agraders who weren’t even looking at Max when he was trying to rev them up at three quarter time, especially Oliver. Doesn’t seem to have any connection with his mid fielders. Notice how manY times the hit outs go straight to the opposition. Either he is not positioning them or they are just plain dumb. Tossup really. y

Groundhog Day. Another bunch of selection that smack of desperation, another must win game, another two weeks at least in lockdown, another fortnight in an alcoholic haze. Deja vu all over again. Happy Jack ain’t happy.

We just keep on reinforcing the stereotype.

What a bunch of no skill bums!!!

I remember the game where Robert had 19 possessions in a quarter and virtually won the game off his own boot. Thought at the time he was the most dynamic player I had ever seen. Also saw the despicable coverage in Adelaide when he jumped the fence to deck the cretin who had been abusing him and throwing cans at him. No mention of this on the news coverage at the time. Mate of mine was there and was livid at the news services for not telling the real story. I had personal experience of the sort of abuse aboriginal kids suffered at the hands of spectators and players. My brother and I had an aboriginal foster brother in our teens. He was a good enough footballer to play for a state high school rep team. Baz and I played basketball with him as well and often had to step in to defend him against some truly obscene abuse by people’s W.E. thought should have known better. It was an eye opening for a teenager into the true nature of our society. Still makes me smoking angry 40 years later.

For some unknown reason I had high hopes the Crows might have dented Doggies hopes today, but unfortunately they are putrid. Really stinking it up.

Saw in the club website article about Nibbler that three other Dees players were fined for rough conduct, including Harley. Can’t find the MRP report on the AFL website (surprise, surprise). Anyone know the details?
-
Brereton and King talking on Fox about having to take resposibility for the health of the player you are tackling. Whats the view like from the moral highground, you freakin hypocrits!!,
-
Have said for some time, he has had some of the worst 30 possession games I have seen. Doesn’t hurt opposition teams
-
Neil Balme, Malcolm Blight, Coco the Clown, anybody but the loser there atm

I for one will be ringing them Monday to cancel my automatic renewal. 800 smackers for a reserve seat when I may not be able to watch this crap at all is not on.

Policeman son says suicides on the up - had to attend a number recently, mostly by “train accidents”. Horrible for first responders, I fear for my son’s sanity as well.

Kudos to the recruiting genius who had the foresight to persist with Bennell - the handball to Hannan was sublime. One of those players who seems to slow down time when he has the ball. Will win us a game off his own boot in the not too distant future. Only glimpsing his talent atm

The funniest book about Ausy Rules has to be “The coach from the city” by Alan O’Toole. Fictional story of a guy who gets an up country gig as a coach with the worst bunch ever to pull on a jumper and .... well no spoilers. Got it for Christmas one year in my teens. A real hoot. Illustrations by Paul Rigby hilarious as well.

An appropriate track from the mother’s of invention album Just Another Band From LA - “Eddy are you kidding?”

Watching the Dees is never what you would call relaxing. Tonight was typical - messy, messy messy. Some good signs though and good selections. Still make dumb mistakes - the cat dived for cover on a number of occasions when I yelled at the tv. I think Rankine will find it a lot harder when teams work out they have to stay goal side of him at stoppages - hello Nev!

Chaos football suited our level of footy IQ. Unfortunately other teams have worked ou how to counter that style and exposed us as having more than our fair share of dumb as dog doodoo players.

Oh lighten up! Tongue firmly in cheek regarding the bye ?♀️

We have become irrelevant. Two examples; In Fox Footy’s lead into today’s games they had a graphic on where teams would be heading this week - no mention of Dees going to Sydney. On Barrett’s nine things out of this round, the Tiges game had not one mention of Melbourne. We are invisible and irrelevant And I think the only reason the AFL prop us up is so that they don’t have to program a bye every week

Man on man defence is hard work but aren’t we supposed to be fitter than ever? Only time we manned up was in the last three minutes - result was a turnover and Brayshaw goal. Allowed a slower older average team to dominate for long periods by persisting with guarding grass. Also Gawny is one of my favourites but he doesn’t seem to have any communication with our mids. Starting to think there is only one solution to stopping our talent going backwards - Get Clarkson!!
