JvR Free!!!
The moving footage makes it even more stark. Yet nothing. Absolutely nothing. Yep, the umpire may have got it wrong, but total silence from the MRO? Beggars belief really https://www.afl.com.au/video/917096/murphy-down-in-huge-clash-after-tremendous-courage?videoId=917096&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1682845734001&tagNames=AppNewsFeed:Yes&tagNames=AppNewsFeed:Yes

JvR Free!!!
I am so angry about this. I was watching the game at my local club, with other impartial footy followers. When the incident occurred, I said I betcha the kid gets cited. The response from my mates was; "no way. Free kick yes, but there is no more in it". I responded by saying, he plays for the Dees. WTF is happening here? Seriously, the MFC must appeal and make representations to the AFL about this sort of unfair treatment. Bloody angry.😠

Kozzy Pickett Re-Signs for 4 Years
To me the comments from Goody can only mean he either signs soon, or if it goes quiet again, for a period of time, then Kozzie is gone.

Gather Round in Adelaide 3 year extension
It clearly has been amended to the correct word.

Gather Round in Adelaide 3 year extension
Sorry to sound like a pain in the proverbial, but the word in the topic heading should be "extension", not "extention".

100% correct. Redmann CHOSE to bump rather than use his arms to tackle. Spargo did not duck. He was in a crouch position after taking possession of the ball, sizing up his options to move the ball forward. Had he been tackled and retained the ball, then no problem, absolute holding the ball. But he was knocked senseless by the knock to his head from Redmann's hip, while he still had the ball. To rub salt into the wound, the ump insisted he stand the mark for Redmann's free kick. As a result and due to concussion protocols, Spargs will miss next week. Redmann won't.

Spargo did CROUCH, to avoid the incoming opponent (Redmann). He did not duck. Whether Redmann was trying to hit Spargo in the head or otherwise, does not matter. The fact is, Spargo was hit in the head by Redmann. No if's or but's. It was a hit to the head. That is why the MRO grade head high hits, which include the word "careless". If Redmann tried to wrap his arms around Spargo, in a tackle, then maybe a different story. The fact is, it was a bump, which affected Spargo's head. It WAS NOT a tackle.

He was hit in the head by his opposition's hip. He did not duck, he picked up the ball. It could not have even been conceivable, that it was holding the ball, if he did not have possession, after bending down. He was not caught in a tackle, he was bumped in the head. He was concussed FFS.- POSTGAME: Rd 05 vs Essendon
Is there a MRO for umpires? To me the turning point in the game was when Spargs copped a hit to the head, was done for holding the ball and went off concussed. I don't give a fig for free stats. It is where they are given and when. To me, the Spargo incident was the turning point. I am not saying we would have won otherwise, but momentum certainly shifted at that stage.- GAMEDAY: Rd 05 vs Essendon

Is that wife my former wife left me?- Jack Crisp
- Kysaiah Pickett on report
Cripps got off on a legal technicality. He went on to win the 2022 Brownlow. At appeal, Carlton brought in a QC. The act itself was never questioned, only procedural fairness of the mechanics of the MRO and Tribunal. As a result, the AFL changed the 'law'. The debate as to whether Kozzie deserves suspension or not is understandable, but to me, there is no natural justice in this decision, based on the Cripps ruling and the Franklin decision. Disgraceful in my view.- Kysaiah Pickett on report
Did Kozzie make contact with the head? Sure, he jumped when moving to bump, but as already said, Smith got up and kept playing. Franklin's elbow makes contact with a blokes jaw, who is clearly affected by the hit and leaves the field. If the penalties which have been respectively offered make sense, then I am an absolute dill. Fair and consistent is all we ask.- POSTGAME: Match SIM vs St. Kilda
