Yep, it takes a while to learn into the job, to see what works, and form an understanding of what we have and how to get it to click together. And then to start to recruit to that understanding, adding to what is working already. Like so many other coaches who seem on the periphery back in the day. It takes time to build the winning formulae, of assistants and game-style to suit the list, and club culture, etc. In the old days the Tiges were sacking coaches every year, and eating their own. It did them no good and hurt the club deeply. Everytime you throw out the plan and start over, you go way back to the very beginning. right to the bottom. And another 10 or so years.

They were building a great list, and we were just being old Melbourne as per usual. Time for a change, and time to get our HQ training facility off the ground. And I reckon that will change our old thinking, and change our old spots. Lose the 'Faux Nice', and get an aggressive team back with Demon Spirit.

Hi55. Please, would you mind progressing this current graph, with the names, 3 years on.? -
Melbourne imv, should occupy the Melbourne end, the western end of the 'G'. We are Melbourne. I would like to see us take control of the Ponsford, and around to the Southern stand wing, and also around the Northern stand to the wing area. Let Richmond control the Richmond end. The others suit themselves with whats left.

Jones, Hibbo & the Jet, will all be gone within the next 18 - 20 months. The team will still be adjusting to new players with lesser games experience, but will have a better pedigree, in that we will be used to playing after August, each year. The belief that comes with knowing/expecting to win big games of H&A will become entrenched, and that is the platform we need to get to. This is a step we kinda skipped, in the late 80's. It just happened that way. we were still a bit underdone/underdeveloped mentally. It happened too quickly for that development. And we got crushed a couple of times, which hurts and tests the culture within.

My gut feel, his body will take 8 to 9 months from the beginning of walking and light jogging, for his body to rearrange and shape-shift, to accommodate his new legs. In my opinion, it is next year, we are hopeful for re Bennell. I think from now until this time next year, his body will be constantly changing/adjusting to find its optimum balance. I imagine he might play 6 games low intensity in the AFL, of the lesser games, where we can afford to manage his time on ground. Similar with Casey.? He needs a handful of AFL games to remember the intensity, and so help towards 2021. I reckon 2022/23 will be our peak years, looking ahead. And again 2025/26/27, long range, going on our current list. Hence my 2ic's comments in another thread. TMc and Gawn will be senior citizens, before we do any real damage in September, IMO.

Maybe the directors have been reading Demonland, and have realised their past mistakes.?
-
I don't expect him to play at all, until at least mid season, at any level. It is not a small procedure that he has undergone. It will totally change everything about is leg muscles, and how his strength is applied for running or tackling. And no doubt effect his posture and possibly running gait.
-
There is no way Edie will leave their current setup so close to the 'G'. They would only do a second setup, with the current setup for matchdays and special occasions. After finals and blockbusters.

He's still slightly favouring that leg, whether it be knee or lower? -
Agreed, 'wwsw'. But, building over Olympic Boulevarde just above the Tram catenary, would not be at the same level/height, as the Mcg/Tennis Centre concourse's level. 'The Concourse' would be a couple of floors above that which would span over Olympic Boulevarde. The Deck over Olympic Boulevarde would be the lower floor where there could be a lounge/meeting/forum room, with glazed doors and windows looking toward Gosch's paddock, with standing viewing area over looking our main Training Oval. Above. 'a multi-floor building', setback from the Boulevarde, (between the station and Boulevarde), which could house our Medical Unit, Admin, and Footy Dep't, as well as a Cafe & Social Facilities and the Demon's shop. Our retail floor. And an egress out onto the concourse above Richmond station, and our access to the 'McG'.

Ours is as big a ask as was kennedy's for the then USA. They had the Russians breathing down their necks. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_VFL/AFL_premiers#Premierships_by_club Well, our Russians and Chinese and Indians and Dawks have all left us behind, and the Tiges are breathing hot breath down our backs. Licking their feline lips, readying to deevour us. -

politics 'od'. 'The mood of the collective', can push an idea forward, or can make 'nervous-nelly', 'the director', move in her swiveling chair, and rebuff said 'home base plans'. Forgive me if i seem cynical, regarding people in elected positions of power. Courageous Cats are spread to thinly these days in positions of power. And sadly the few that are, are on the wrong/right side of the political spectrum, trying to make wealth instead of health, and well-being. -
We, can place two Mcg sized playing surfaces on this site. is a I have tried it out, Via Google aerial shots, and paper cutouts. They fit fairly well. And with room for buildings, if creativity is used. Also the other option of building above/across Olympic Boulevarde, is a possibility.

Flood prone - climate change and rising sea levels. The height of the PP Bay isn't as high as Bass straight. When the locaL seas rise enough outside in the Straight, many areas within the Bay will become inundated.

Its up to us to get in behind these ideas with our emotion and positivity, to keep the snowball rolling, and gaining momentum. That is how we help 'od'. With positivity, and no destructive talk. We need to encourage those, who would be behind these dreams for Us -

Think J F Kennedy & NASA.! To the Moon & back. They did that... We can do it, our dream ! All it takes is for us all, to get in behind the dream, and put our shoulders to the effort. -

Not simply aim high, as many have done so before (mere words) but aggressively compete as hard as we can to achieve these Crucial areas of building this club. More than Half a Century has been wasted in the thinking that the Mcc will give us this or that. Wrong. We have to walk alone and still be a major tenant of the G'. The Original Footy club of the 'G'. -
I've a feeling those highlighted, might be right, post SOO game.

One of the advantages of the Elsternwick Oval is the levees around the ground, giving some privacy for closed sessions.?

That's OK, we need our number two's in all positions to get more exposure, with some chop outs from our more experienced guys; so the 2ic's get the support they need, so they can take the game on with confidence. https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/tp-melbourne-demons?year=2020&sby=15 It will be our 2ic's, that take us to the big Dance in Springtime. And looking through our youngest list players, we have some talent there, to develop. The future looks bright. It's getting to that point with our current 2ic's, the 26Yrs and younger, who i think will be our regular finals nuclei. Now for 2020, and lets give the top 8, a shake.
