TRAINING: Monday 13th January 2020

Bruce: "and there goes little Kossy 'Dee licious' " . And now after all this fanfare for Kossy, he probably won't even get to play, his head will be too big & top heavy. Lets not spoil him, and turn him into another dee flop. -
The message is to become more of a leader, in showing the way, Re both, Fritta especially, and Weide needs to step it up this year. I don't want to see more of the same from Fritta. I want to see him take another step forward. Same with Harmes, Hunt, Petracca, & ANB.

Flower did play, robustly. He'd tackle, fly through or over packs etc. One match he almost knocked out Jeff Sarau down at Moorabbin when flying for a mark. No player should get a leave pass Re being physical, in the Melbourne side. Remember garlett just finished with us 58'r They both (Fritta and Weide), need to step it up a gear in 2020.

I've always felt that we may well be giving him his superannuation, on behalf of Gill and his mates. One hand, washing 'the others'. You do this for us, and we will do this in turn.

well S6S. How did you get Preussy to look so fine.?
-
IMO its time he became more a leader, and be observed to play more dynamically. To taker the game on more. Maybe to take some more risk on, offensively.?

I reckon if you train in softer conditions than the grass you play on, the legs will be stronger. and less jarred.? When going onto match day surfaces, I think we would run on-top of the ground more.? -

Thats good to hear. Hopefully the playing/training surface is just as moist. We need softer conditions that last years concrete. Concrete might not burn, and may be easy to run on, but its just not great for the bodies limbs and back. -

Can any watchers elaborate, How is the ground at Gosch's this year.? Is the surface soft enough, compared to the apparent concrete surface of last year.? Does is look in better 'nick', Re greenness, and IF someone could check with a key or similar, to see if there's enough moisture content, to protect the boys feet and joints.? -

Surely Petracca would be on of these flankers. The 'fat side' flankers.? ? -

Surely tax incentives involved on their part.? if they donate my money to a legit fundraising effort, can they then claim it in the tax refunds.? -

Lets hope all funds taken for food and drink are all donated by the catering companies. 100% should be given to those who lost so much. -

Try telling the players they cannot play, for this occasion. -

SA v Vic (Mcg), and WA v Allies in Perth, winners to play off Mid-season at the 'G', for total honors. All proceeds for those who lost their homes, to rebuild. So many lost everything. -
Agreed D4L. But Maxy has to lead as well, by not tolerating being bullied. He also has to show the spirit to fight back. Not tolerating that treatment. Absolutely, and no acceptions, for Fritta, or any (smaller) players. They all have to adopt the attitudem of taking no bull -[censored] tactics. No-one be the weak link. Agreed. That club fought for its old mojo, and got it back. Vigor - Victory Go-Dees.

Robert flower of course.

Just as he was in person. A gentle man.

I knew him and his wife at the local shops, seeing them often. And saving a table for them many times. I had to look him up, to remember his surname. So I think I got the spelling wrong from the internet, somewhere. He was a really nice old man. I moved away, shortly before reading news of his passing.

Yes, correct. I knew G Leak, in his latter years. Both, were high profile commentators around the period mentioned.

Top 10 MFC Players of the Decade
MyFavouriteMartian replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't think this thread is about other clubs at all. Its only about our best, over the past 10 Years. Some here are using this thread to vent their long term pain, comparing our recent past to the rest of the AFl. The Jones boy is well entrenched in our best 10 players, across the past decade.
