  1. Agree with all of this
  2. At the game it was clear we lifted our intensity mid way through the third. It went goal for goal at the end and then we dominated the last quarter. Game over. What’s impressed me the most the last 2 weeks is the rise of the second tier mids under Viney. Can you see a spot for JJ once Oliver comes back? Has there ever been a more important goal than the one Viney kicked? Do you see Chandler making his way back into the side after his stellar first 10 games?
  3. Club’s done everything right with Grundy. There’s no reason he can’t be a useful forward, leading up to the wings and picking off the opposition’s dump kicks out of defence. Him on one wing, Max on the other. You could also just sit him in the square although I’d prefer that role for Petracca. He’s an AA ruckman, he’s just been told this is your role so if you want to help us win the flag this is what you need to do. The media just want a story. There’s no way Max is going solo for the rest of the year. I said yesterday that I thought Grundy had coasted a bit this year. Over to you Brodes, show us what you’ve got. By the way the Flag is in the bag.
  4. Can’t see Adelaide bothering us
  5. Because he didn’t fly forward like a dead fish
  6. The umpiring isn’t some conspiracy against certain clubs, that’s absurd. The general standard is quite poor though. I think the AFL needs to invest heavily in umpiring but that seems unlikely. I find the inconsistencies across a season head scratching.
  7. Grundy will play finals
  8. Grundy will play 2-3 weeks in the VFL. He’ll then be given a chance to see if he can play forward in the AFL. I have little doubt the club originally thought Gawn would play predominantly forward. They now know he’s way to valuable in the ruck so it’s been put on Grundy. Grundy’s coasted a bit this year for mine. I think this puts the pressure back on him. I think he’ll take it and become a key component of our flag this year. Imagine the roar when he kicks a goal in the GF to put us further in front of Port. It’s going to be awesome
  9. That’d really spruce the list up nicely heh Big Fella, big fella, big fella, big fella!!
  10. I too enjoy your posts
  11. His knee appears to be holding up. He’s surprised me. The question now is what are we going to do with Grundy? Does he play ahead of JVR?
  12. I don’t want to play Brisbane in the finals
  13. There's absolutely no reason a guy with his ability can't become an effective 50% game time forward. If he can kick 1-2 goals a week and free up space for our smalls then lets roll.
  14. That’s goal of the year for mine. He willed that through, no fluke kick or boundary ace just simply guts and will. Best goal I’ve ever seen.
  15. We also lost 5-10,000 to the Matilda’s
  16. No other top 4 club has a Viney, Petracca, Oliver or a Gawn. They are the aces we hold over the other contenders. That's 4 Aces, someone is going to need to be dealt a serious hand to knock us off from here.
  17. Bloody oath he did Brodes, now go and learn to kick 2 goals and be involved in 5 more and you’re good to go
  18. I think Grundy is good enough to be a useful forward 50%, ruck 30%, bench 20%
  19. No that’s plenty, thought you were referring to the Collingwood cheer squad
  20. Does anyone have the inside word on Oliver’s injury?
  21. If Port came knocking and offered us Georgiades and some steak knives who knows. You never say never
  22. Well after we smash the Pies in a QF who will be our Prelim opponent?
  23. Where are these dangerous areas?
  24. He’s also fantastic insurance if Max goes down. He’s a bloody good ruckman with great follow up. Not amazing overhead but can bring it to ground.
  25. Apologies to my son who I told not to swear whilst I continued to swear throughout the game. He even stuck up for me when a Bris fan had a crack before the almighty comeback
