Dude, regardless of how kicking is measured it’s if no surprise that our mids rank poorly on any kicking scale. It’s laughable to suggest as others have that their poor kicking is in part due to our forward line. Trac, Oliver and Gawn barely even look where they’re going to kick so blaming the forwards is just wrong.

As opposed to dumping it in and having them clear it so you can dump it in again. They’re AFL listed players, are you telling me they can’t mark a well directed kick more often than not?

JG is right. If Petracca took one or two more steps before dump kicking he’d see options. If Oliver hand balled out of the pack instead of dump kicking the game might just open up. If Gawn stopped grabbing the ball and dump kicking he might see a better placed handball option. This is where we lose it. We literally shoot ourselves in the foot time and again. Our patchwork forward line is largely ignored in favour of dump kicks. I’d right COMPOSURE on the board over summer.

Personally I don’t rate Chandler. Spargo offers footy smarts, something this side lacks going into 50. I’d keep both, play Spargo in the AFL and let Chandler and AMW battle it out for a spot.

Harsh on Salem. I love the guy but he was borderline ineffectual the last 6 weeks. He needs the change, I’d love to see him forward or traded.

In that scenario you’d lose the picks to get McKertcher and Watson. Why not say to the dogs we’ll swap you Lever for Naughton or Jamara. Then we play Petty and Turner back and keep JVR forward. We’re going to have to give up something substantial to get a key forward. Is Lever really untouchable?
