  1. Given there has been very limited travel allowed interstate over the last 18 months and he has a job that allows him to easily shift back home, why the hell wouldn't he try? You can not really argue with his output at Brisbane, he's not a Dayne Beams style mercenary. Their draft capital is going to be very, very good after this and there are a couple of readymade starting mids available for trade, in Parker and Tom Mitchell, if they prefer
  2. Adelaide and probably Port would likely be calling Sparrow's manager every day. Is cementing himself in one of the best sides in the comp and is from SA, it doesn't get better for the SA teams. I hope he stays, really rate him
  3. It’s a great idea for us however, no one wants him
  4. So he's been reprimanded 21 times and we are supposed to believe he is now remorseful, coincidentally when the stakes are high for him/GWS? Spare me. I'd like him to get a good whack for this, 3-4 weeks minimum and then I'd like them to say this is your 22nd offence mate, we are putting a VERY big suspended sentence on top. 10 weeks extra would be about right. You can be one of the best players in the game, but you can also start playing by our rules or start suffering the consequences.
  5. I think the footpath example is all the evidence we need, Toby Greene does not have respect for anyone else and he certainly did not show any to the umpire.
  6. I would say mentioning Tommo, Hibberd and Smith all prove we do need him in a roundabout way. Tommo isn't currently playing and he is more your 3rd tall. Hibbo isn't currently playing and he is the most similar to Maynard, he is becoming quite limited with his movement. Smith will likely never play on the sort of player Maynard would, again.
  7. I'd like to see Mitch Robinson get a fair whack in the hip pocket also. If he did that in public, he'd either get the daylights belted out of him or scare the living suitcase out of someone. To do it in a place of employment is absolutely irresponsible
  8. There’s definite intent from Greene to intimidate the umpire. The AFL will have no choice but to suspend him, they simply can’t allow it to happen
  9. Has improved our side immensely. He’s competing and giving himself plenty of opportunity. The club would be stoked to have him where he is fitness wise and contributing, coming from such a low base
  10. Really good to see Sparrow have a good finals game, he’s been building for it all year. I am almost scared to say it, but we are in a very healthy position leading into the next two games. Everyone is chipping in and we are playing with a real purpose as a group
  11. Cameron is a cheat, we need someone to sit goal side of him. Think we were more comfortable at the intensity, pretty happy with that first quarter in a whole. Brisbane can’t sustain the chaos for 4 quarters
  12. I'm not suggesting we trade Gus, but wasn't he given a new contract the same year he finished 3rd in the Brownlow? He would be on healthy money himself
  13. Takes a pretty special kind of character to walk into the place now and think they will make a difference. Whoever takes on this job will have a monumental task trying to create stability and do their job when they know the guillotine could drop at a moments notice. I think the instability this year and the handling of Teague will create irreparable damage to the club ala Adelaide Crows and their infamous camp
  14. Claims on BigFooty (take with grain of salt) that Elliot Yeo wants out of West Coast, if there is even a glimmer of truth to that we should be on the phone
  15. From memory she is due on one of the big Spring Carnival days, he keeps saying what if I’m two legs up in the quaddie
  16. $$$$$ is the only answer. I think a very high volume of AFL footballers are being encouraged to treat the game like a short term occupation. Suits managers, suits the players and keeps the offseason interesting. Someone at Carlton must have an incredible marketing pitch because there is very little foundation in the place at present @daisycutter I thought the same about Rowell, guess he did a lot of weight work rather than load on his legs
  17. I think he's still impeded by injury, looks to be lacking a lot of energy in the way he moves. Would not be surprised if he wanted to get back home in the next 12-18 months, his career has not gone according to plan so far
  18. Not specifically related to finals merch, but there's a rather ordinary selection of Melbourne apparel in general. Finals were all but guaranteed quite some time ago, you would think they would be pushing a lot more through. I don't own any Melbourne related clothing and wanted to get something for the last 4-5 weeks, can't find anything that really makes me want to buy it
  19. Very classy interview, credit to Trac
  20. Holy [censored], we were nowhere. Maxxy, you absolute [censored] legend
  21. Rather than keep on with the G&T’s, I think I’ll turn it off and regroup for next week. This has been the performance everyone feared, even for the most optimistic of us
  22. Started the game with a few mid-strengths, already hit the G&T’s before half time. This could get ugly
  23. We wouldn’t even fit 6 of our reserves players in the North or GCS sides, but love the optimism
