He's young and will bounce back I'm sure We have great options to cover his injury. Would love to see Thommo get the nod (if fit). He was outstanding until injured last year (iirc he held Hawkins to one goal in our early season clash with the Cats)

Quality is definitely down this year. There have not been many great games (Crows v doggies on the weekend was excellent but few and far between) Don;t think a re-draft is the answer. Players have developed loyalties to their club and teammates and won't want to switch The comp has expanded too quickly. We need less teams not more

We'll win. GWS are bang average. I want to see us build on our improved contested work from last week. And hopefully some players form improves particularly Kate Hore. Shelly Scott has been very quiet as well this year. We have a tough run of fixtures coming up against Freo, North and the Lions. We can't afford to have our best players down on form if we're to have a chance of winning those games

At the time i was against trading Jesse but there's no question now we are a better team with Maysie in the side A good lad, well liked and on his day a special player but like Jack Watts didn't have the 100% buy-in and professionalism to play in a premiership team. Injuries are starting to take their toll now but i wish him nothing but the best

It was a mistake to disclose that the team were unwell. His comments will be construed as excuses by the rest of the comp no matter how he trys to spin it. And anyways they were a spent force weeks before the prelim. They were poor against Port and worse against GWS. The only reason they won that game is because the Giants didn’t have any forwards. Outside of the granny itself my favourite memory from last season was Maxy slotting that goal after the siren in Rd 23. That was soooo sweet. It's just a pity there were no cats fans there to witness it

I'm really looking forward to seeing Purcell play soon. Her toughness around the ball is something we’ve been missing this season. Hopefully she can find form before our tough run of fixtures against North, Lions and Freo. If she can fire from the get go she’ll be a huge in for us

I take your point. Wasn’t a comment specifically on the Dees women more a general comment. There are some in the league who I think could be better conditioned Perkins is a very good player and uses her bulk to very good effect particularly in marking contests. But I think she’s the exception to the rule
