McKay hurt his shoulder!

Safety first Dees. 2 poor goals. Need to switch on here.

Great kick Trac and nice conversion Fritsch. Perfect start
-
Whether he played or not if we were to win it I’m sure Jonesy would be up on the dais with Gawny accepting the cup
-
As long as you get to the game Ditcha. That's the main thing ? p.s. hope your mom's ok
-
I would be very surprised if we played Fritsch knowing he was concussed the week before. Times have changed. Concussion and head knocks are taken very seriously. I think we’ll have to agree to disagree on this one. However I, like you, expect Fritsch to be much better today.
-
you don't know whether he was concussed or not and even if he was it didn't affect him too much for the rest of that game. He had an off game last week. It happens. I mean Rampe is no slouch when it comes to defending. He'll be better today i'm sure

Very true. The media narrative is always framed in terms of winners and losers therefore important components of trades are conveniently excluded. The other trade which is always talked about as being very expensive is Cameron to Geelong. The 3 first round picks are always referenced. What is never mentioned is the 2 second round picks Geelong got back. One is tied to Essendon and the other to GWS. Is there really all that much difference between 2 late first rounders (15,20) and likely early and mid second rounders. The way Cameron has slotted into the Geelong attack and formed a potent combination with Hawkins and Rohan I’d say Geelong are winning that trade as well (although early I know and as much as I hate to see Geelong recruiting well).

Agree. they've been pantsed by the Eagles and Lions and but for a second quarter surge v the dog would have been pantsed by them as well. They're pretenders and nothing more.

The quality of commentating in general is of a low standard. I listen to most games with the mute button engaged.

Salary cap squeeze i believe. He's been a great pick-up for Port
-
Their midfield is Rolls Royce but we have them covered in every other department. Our defense and pressure game will take care of the doggies. No worries.
-
Whitfield and Kelly will be difficult to extract plus the coin they are getting at the Giants is way overs. We can't nor shouldn't match it. Merrett is the one for mine. He is gettable and would add some real polish to our outside game. Would love to see him in the red and blue. He's a free agent so a genuine chance to switch clubs. We should go hard at him.

Every game is a danger game if we are not switched on from the get-go but other than sleep-walking through the first half v North our application and focus has been very good. I can’t see us treating Carlton lightly so I expect a full 4 quarter effort today. As soon as the doggies awoke from their slumber last week they put Carlton to the sword. Carlton can’t defend for toffee. They are very unaccountable without the ball. We will take advantage today. The Sydney game was tough, a real grind. Worked wonders for my MFCSS knowing we have the mental fortitude and defense to overcome a really strong challenge from the Swans. Carlton are not Sydney. They have no backbone. They will fold when the pressure comes on. Harmes to Walsh, May to shackle McKay. Maxy to lift (Pittonet played well against us last year) and our defense and pressure to do the rest. Looking forward to seeing the Weid and young Chandler running around. I think it will be a regulation 5 goal win

4 inside 50's for Port this quarter for 4 goals. The doggies can't defend.
-
Doggies taking Port to the cleaners. They're putting on a clinic.
-
no double grabs please
-
Lions starting to look ominous. Gold Coast have been rubbish but still. Brisbane putting them to the sword. It'll be a tough game against them in the Alice.
-
I like it. Added some speed and tackling pressure to balance out the additional tall. Melks can't really have any complaints. He's been serviceable but nothing more.
-
Delighted to see the Hawks beaten
-
and there it is. phew
-
where is the bloody siren
-
Along way off i know and a lot can happen before then but we can't take Collingwood for granted on Queen's birthday. They have enough grit in them to grind it out and cause us some headaches.
-
Hawthorn are the club i would most like to see languish for a decade or so. Entitled supporters and a president completely lacking in self awareness. Their list management over the past couple of seasons has been the epitome of hubris. They're miles off. I hope Tassy kick them out as well.

The throws i can kinda understand because they happen so fast. But the dropping the ball is so blatant and obvious. I don't understand why it isn't penalised more.
