If the pies are to sort themselves out I think the first contract they have to deal with is Grundy’s. Trade him or renegotiate the terms. Adelaide will have decent picks so I’d seriously consider cutting him loose. Pendles still has 2-3 years left in him to lead the rebuild, find a spot off half forward perhaps but hold onto him as long as you can De Goey is another on big money who is not justifying his wage at all. He’s not leadership material so perhaps let Carlton have for their first round pick. Anyways, they’re in a bad way and I will not be surprised if North roll them this weekend.

I don;t want to lose the Weid either. Everyone was excited preseason at the prospect of the BB and the Weid in tandem. they both got injured so those plans were scuppered for the time being but i see no reason why they can't play together yet. A lot of people suddenly doubting BB on the basis of his first game back. He's obviously rusty but he did have the North defenders climbing all over him. The season is long so i'm sure both BB and the Weid will contribute plenty yet. Talk of trading the Weid or BB not making it are very premature.

If you put their logo in front of me yesterday (before i read this thread) i would not have known who they were. I don;t have much use for paint which may explain my obliviousness.

Petty will be fine. Remember he will have May and Lever in support this time whereas for the Hawks game there was no May. He’s a promising player and deserves his chance. He’s on the list because the club rate him and believe he has a long-term future. His opportunity has arrived so hoping he can grab it with both hands.
-
How so? Other than neither applies all that much pressure I can’t see any similarities in their respective game style or skillset. Can the Weid ping a 40m pass onto the chest of a leading forward?
-
The Weid has been unlucky to get injured when he did because TMac has come in and done a tremendous job in his place. The season is long. He’ll get his chance but longer term I can’t see him and TMac in the same team. I don’t see TMac in the wing role so, unless BB doesn’t work out (i reckon he will), they are fighting for the same spot.

De Goey is a poor mans Christian Petracca. We have the real deal so no need to bring in the fake version.

I've started to watch 360 again this year thanks to my Kayo subscription. I'm gradually starting to tolerate Robbo. I'll never be too keen on his style on delivery but at least now i don;t instantly go for the off button whenever he starts to rant and wave his arms around. Whateley is a good counterbalance. The guests are worth listening to and content is pretty good. Plus the best feature about Kayo. The fast forward option is there if needed!

Never heard of them and never noticed their logo at any of our games. Their marketing team needs to lift.

I'd be surprised if other clubs weren't looking at him. As regards Collingwood, they need all their chips to pay for Daicos. They have nothing to trade with and no player we'd be interested in. They can gagf

Not a returning traveller or hotel quarantine worker. Means he's picked it up in the community. NSW have been the best at managing these spot fires, tracing contacts effectively and adopting proportionate public policies. We'll have to see what contact tracing uncovers but he's been out an about for 5 days or so. Fingers crossed this outbreak hasn't spread too far and can be contained. We'll just have to wait and see.

I think the right decision was made on the basis of precedent. It would have unfair that Bayley copped a ban while Danger and Cunnington didn’t so definitely justice served in that sense. I don’t think raising your elbow, connecting with an opponents head and leaving them dazed is a good look. I think these incidences warrant a one game ban. I mean, we all thought (or most anyways) Hawkins should have been suspended for breaking May’s eye socket. The process is not working and needs to be reviewed. Too many incorrect interpretations and inconsistent decisions.

We'd be crazy to let the Weid go. He is 5 years younger than TMac so reckon TMac might be the odd man out. No disrespect to TMac he's been great this year for us. Maybe we can keep both somehow! The Weid is the future up top and Petty is the future down back.

fritta free to play - advantage us
-
Fritta free to play and now Trac renewed. My MFCSS is feeling pretty sheepish tonight.
-
I'm not a fan of long deals either but there are exceptions to every rule. Trac is a generational player so i can live with it.

Great result. I'm feeling a whole lot better about the sydney game.

No Petty is next in line. Trained in the role so will know the system. He'll have Lever and May to help him settle. Now is his time. I reckon he'll be ok TMac has been great up forward so leave him there. Weid only plays if Fritta's suspension is upheld.
-
Have you never heard of MFCSS? Only known cure is a flag.
-
Right call to challenge. I happen to think that it is medium impact but the MRO has set a precedent with the Danger and other incidents so i don't see why Fritta cops a week but the others don't. I want fairness and consistency. It has to be over-turned. If it isn't I'll be very interested to see what kind of mental gymnastics the appeals board perform to distinguish the Danger and Fritta incidents.
-
I say we need to fight the MRO decision hard and get Fritta's suspension overturned. It's too big an ask to have the Weid and BB trying to find form at the same time. Sparrow for Viney and Petty for Tomlinson the only changes. TMac forward and Gus back to the wing. Personnel won't matter if we don;t get back to our contested pressure game. Spargs and Nibbler in particular need to lift but Max and the midfield unit have to be switched on from the get-go as well.
-
I haven't read through the thread so apologies if mentioned already. On the couch last night showed a side by side of the Dangerfield and Fritta incidents. They looked practically identical. Danger got off. My initial view was we should cop the week and move on but after that seeing that comparison we have to challenge.
-
That was some haymaker he threw. Thuggish behavior that needs to be dealt with in the severest possible terms. No excuse for that whatsoever. No one expects to be assaulted like that on the field. Disgraceful.

If we produce the same level of performance as we did against North we lose this game. Buddy, Papley and Heeney are the danger men. If we can limit their influence we will go a long way to subduing the Swans. Hopefully the first half v North was just an aberration, we’ve got it out of our system and can now return to the tough, contested, pressure based game plan that got us to Top of the ladder in the first place. Petty to slot into the defensive unit seamlessly. Sparrow into the midfield. The Weid comes in for Fritta. Very different dynamic up top but hopefully it’ll work. Sydney defenders aren’t world beaters. Out mark them and slot our set-shots. BB to find separation this week (and umpires pay frees if defenders are trying to piggy back ride) and slot a few. Spargo and Nibbler to rediscover their pressure games. The real Max Gawn to show up. Gus back to the wing where he’s been solid for us this year. That first half last week has me really spooked. My MFCSS has returned with a vengeance so I don’t know which way this will go. All depends on which Melbourne shows up.

This is the opportunity the Weid has been waiting for. Let's see what he can do.
