  1. The size differential between the Crows and the other teams always amazes me I had the game on in the background just now and assumed the Crows had a breeze at their back in the 1st quarter, but no, they just kick it a good 10 meters on average farther than their opponents due to their size and strength Game from Freo, they fought like tigers and were ahead at 3 quarter time, but the dam broke inevitably in the last and the Crows ran over the top of them Crows' brute strength very difficult to combat. They are looking very ominous Hoping North can beat the Lions in this evening's game
  2. i don't know. Maybe not but i think when a player has decided to move to a new team, if push comes to shove, he'll act in his new teams best interests rather than the old team. If Freo budge from their current offer (i highly doubt it) I'm pretty sure it won't be because of prompting from LJ or his camp
  3. Agree. From his new perspective (he's Freo now) he'd rather Freo keep their picks and use on improving his new team

I'm ok with it. he gives us another forward option which we lacked last year.

    That's too much. Prefer $350k to $400k

So he doesn’t work out. As long as not pay him too much or sign him to a long contract we haven’t risked too much. That’s what I mean by downside. libbas and castagne from Tiges have worse tatts

He's an upgrade on the Weid. We might get a year or 2 decent service while JVR is establishing himself. cover for BB and TMac both of home are injury prone as they get older. Granted, we don't know if he'll get back to his 2021 form given his knee injury but this is low cost, best available option play. There's not much downside in my view.

Thought I heard Lamb say the club would facilitate a trade if the opportunity arose. We’re well stocked defensively and would likely free up some cap so it makes sense from an MFC perspective I reckon.

Don't understand the hostility. We're swapping out a player we don't require for someone that will bolster our KPF stocks. It's a low cost depth play. Not much downside and you never know, he might kick 20-25 goals for us next season
  10. This episode highlights the danger of letting players run down their contracts. You end up relying on good faith negotiations with the likes of Peter bellend. We have no leverage. It’ll be 13 and their f1.
  11. that ship has sailed. he's going home
  12. They had Cerra as well. He would have been included in the deal for sure
  13. In all honesty what leverage do we have? Hope Peter Bellend does the right the thing and pays fair compensation? Good luck with that
  14. It’ll be 13 and their future first. Can’t see how freo trade into the top 10. if we end up with Grundy, 13 and a f1 in exchange for Jackson and 2 round pick I think on balance that’s an ok outcome. In terms of freo and Peter bellend I’ll be joyfully death riding freo first rounder. I can’t think of anything more satisfying that watching them tank next year. I won’t be surprised if they miss finals and we end up with a top 10 pick anyways.
  15. If he's such a terrible leader why did Collingwood give him a 7 year deal on $1m per year. Rendell is just denigrating Grundy because he wants to leave his beloved pies. Very transparent
  16. Hard to go past the MacLeod Groome trade. An absolute shocker
  17. Agent Jayden on the case. Good lad
  18. This trade stinks to high heavens. The suns are a joke and the cats are taking the pizz. The AFL had to take a look at the books at the cattery. Very suspect
  19. He’s been doing a good job overall so well worth the extension. I had my doubts a few years ago. The handball happy game plan just wasn’t working. He corrected mid season and us got to a prelim. Since then the performance of the team has been very good. No shame losing out to the crows the last 2 years. Looks to have the pieces in place this year for a red hot cracks And he obviously has a great relationship with the players
  20. Whitfield is an excellent player. Good disposal. Just what we need. If he is genuinely gettable I’d prefer him over Grundy.
  21. Phew! I was worried when I saw this thread bob up again.
  22. WC Pick 2 and their second rounder is about right. freo are hopeless. LJ needs to know we’re not going to be dicked around by them and be prepared to play for West Coast because Peter Bellend is a numptie
  23. Looks like Luke is going to do the right by us. Fair play. The deal with west coast should be straight forward. Hopefully they don’t start playing silly buggers. Just get it done.
  24. The doggies have had a soft run. they've beaten GWS, Freo, Port and the Hawks who are all siting in the bottom 6. They've been beaten by North and Geelong We'll beat them handy I reckon.
  25. Essendon are hilarious For those that don't know, it been 6,556 days since they won a final
