  1. would be nice to hit some leading targets every now and then
  2. Oldest football club in the world. The original and best
  3. Eddie is a relic. In the same category as Sammy Newman. Time to retire to the golf course
  4. Swans have been beaten twice this year at Marvel against the Dogs and bombers (both poor performances). Weren't very convincing in their one win which was against North. Not a happy hunting ground for them. If Max King can find his shooting boots the Saints are a good chance
  5. It's been big games one after the other and more to come I'm very bullish about this one The manner of the Carlton win will energise us and the Lions just can't get it done when the chips are done. We'll finish 3rd and head to Sydney for the QF. And I'll be confident about that game as well These are great times to be a Dees supporter
  6. 6,555 The number of days since Essendon last won a final
  7. People have strong views on this topic which I understand. Fair enough. But I don’t believe players should be suspended for not completing a test in time or sending in yesterdays rats in error. We’ve all had to endure restrictions of different kinds. I think we’ve had our fill of covid so lets not continue hammering people, suspending and inflicting more sanctions just because we were inconvenienced in the past. When does this end?
  8. So it was meant to be a wobbly kick that got a lucky bounce? And even if it is a set play. so what Great player Rick. I'm delighted he plays with us but come on. He pointed in one direction and kicked it in a different direction. I'm all for doling out the praise when warranted but I think we've gone over the top here And anyways, the reason we won that game is Jake Melksham. If anyone deserves his own thread its him.
  9. Do you want players suspended for not doing the test in time or sending in yesterday's rat test?
  10. The club didn't show too much appreciation when they bundled him out the door. Loyalty cuts both ways
  11. No where near! staying in doors for a week if you test positive is hardly nowhere near. If you've covid you're probably sick and most likely not heading out anyways We have vaccines, no more lock downs, we're free to move around, go to games, travel internationally etc. etc. We've come along way from where we were
  12. can't be sure of anything. If a club decides to cover something up then requires a lot of digging to uncover - see Essendon drugs scandal however they take the covid tests every day. not difficult to send in the previous days in error. Plus covid shows up on rats tests for a number of days so would require a major cover-up as i've said. And needlessly exposes the rest of the list to covid. btw the accuracy of rats tests is pretty sketchy. I've heard of plenty of people you passed the rats but failed the PCR. but thats another story
  13. "The AFL says penalties were given for breaches including not undertaking a rapid antigen test (RAT) within specified time periods, and uploading an image taken of a previous RAT undertaken by that person or someone else" no suggestion that failed tests were covered up, quarantine rules breaches or anything that results in players playing that should not have played. Why would anyone be suggesting suspensions in these circumstances? The world is now living with Covid. Let's just move on shall we.
  14. Rick is a great player and leader. Injury has hampered him this year but no question he is a potential future captain But I'm sorry. Showering him with praise because he executed a wobbly kick into the corridor when we need to score with seconds remaining is hardly next level out of the box thinking. It was exactly what he should have done. The only reason we are commenting on it is because we are usually so predictable this simple play seems so extraordinary. I don't think it was that special at all.
  15. Not sure how amical the parting was with the Dees but Lynden Dunn is a good sort. I'm sure he barracks for the Dees
  16. I believe it was Reece Bobby, Ricky's dad, that said this first
  17. he got them into the 8 last year, a definite set back this year but he may still be the right coach. After 2 years i think they are better off putting better assistant coaches around him to see how he goes. otherwise you might be throwing away 2 years of investment.
  18. We're 6-0 on the road this year brisbane are flat track bullies and fold under pressure Dees to win And i reckon Carlton will beat the pies
  19. The veil of negativity thread is about you buddy
  20. I think it would be a miracle if anyone won from outside the 8
  21. Sad but that’s social media for you. A cesspool We all love you Kozzy. Ignore the knuckle draggers
  22. We'll beat Brisbane next week. As soon as we apply some pressure they will fold like a cheap suit. They are the definition of a flat track bully Sydney will win handily and finish second on % So I reckon it's a QF at the SGC for us. And I'll be there if it happens
  23. Normally I'll barrack for the result the suits us best but in this instance i don;t care. I just want to see the pies lose because i'm sick to the back teeth watching them win tight matches And yes, I hate them as well
  24. We’re not playing well. We’re not as fluent, in sync, as sharp as we were this time last year. I think our game plan has become stale, too predictable. There are tweaks required in the off season for sure. It’s hard work for the boys at the moment. But we have a team chock full of champions. We have gotten ourselves into winning positions in pretty much every game through sheer force of will. Maxy is an out and out champion. Viney, Clarry, may, petty. And we have class in kossie, trac, Frisch and now Melks through his brilliant renaissance. If we click good luck to the rest of the comp. And even if we don’t we have bucketloads of willpower. I doubt any team is looking forward to playing us in September. I’m giving us a 3/1 chance of winning it. If we fall short I’m sure it won’t be for lack of effort. I’m looking forward to the ride.
