The weather could put a spanner in the works but even if it does turn inclement I’ve been so impressed with the consistency of performance this year I still reckon we’ll find a way to put up a score irrespective of conditions.

Strong lineup and great to see us building towards a fully fit list (McNamara and Colvin excepted) coming into finals i expect a professional performance today. That should be enough to translate into a 40 point win for us which will keep within range of Brisbanes percentage
  3. Disregard everything I've ever posted about Lachie Hunter. I liked him all along profile photo duly updated
  4. Has plenty of fine attributes. Tough, hard and great kick for goal. His disposal lets him down badly though.

Just watched the Crows Geelong game. Crows scraped home by 2 points. I don't think the Crows are at the same level this year at all. You can't write them off because they're a champion team but I don't think they can win it. It's us and the Lions I reckon

For those interested this doco gives a good overview of the extreme metal genres and leading bands. The Norwegian black metal scene is well covered @Gorgoroth It's presented by a Canadian dude, Sam Dunn, who produces lots of metal related content so well worth checking out. I’m an old grindcore fan. Napalm Death and Carcass are the original and best in my view

Thanks @Gorgoroth. I'm going to check this stuff out

I think its very possible they regress and won't be surprised if they miss finals.

and meant to say, Smith is in no way and adequate replacement for Petty down back. the suggestion is laughable (and i'm not a Smith hater, he can do a job for us)

I can see the merits of moving him forward for sure but on balance i'd leave him where he is. Defensively, I think he can be our lynchpin in due course. May is 30 so hasn't many years left and Rick is an interceptor as we know. It won't be long before Petty will be taking the opps most dangerous KPF Great option to swing forward if needed though

I dream of Freo having a Melbourne 2019 type season. That would be fun to watch

How good is Grundy going to be for us. An upgrade on Jackson, in the short to medium term at least, I reckon

Looking very dashing in this photo is dogga. The wind blowing through his hair and all. Don’t know why he couldn’t find himself a nice Melbourne girlfriend
  19. The in laws are st Kilda supporters. Decent folks all round except when at the footy. Went to a few saints games with them and oh boy were they feral. A real eye opener they were happy for me when we won last year so I’d like to see them win one as well. unfortunately their list is full of spuds and the game has moved on from Ross the boss. They’ll be closer to bottom 4 next year rather than top 4. Another rebuild looms

Both excellent players but I’d have Clarry because he’s so durable. Cripps career will go the same way as fyfe I reckon
  21. AFLW Team of the Week, round eight (womens.afl) Heath, Purcell and Harris made the cut.

True but the people complaining about his lack of a farewell are the same people who are resentful towards him anyways. They’ll never be happy People get caught up in this stuff. End of the day he voted with his feet and has gone back to play for his home town team. I don’t need to hear his platitudes about how much he loves the MFC, how brilliant we are, how heart wrenching the decision was. It’s just word salad to placate a section of our fanbase who can’t be pleased anyways. I’ve moved on. I suggest everyone else does as well

rather than thinking of it as barracking for the pies to win, think of it as barracking for the Lions to lose

Chelsea Randall to miss 3-5 weeks with an ankle injury. Huge out for the Crows

If he had posted a long farewell message posters would have complained that it was insincere
