  1. Maybe we'll see it next week. Would love to see the Graeme Yeats' Stingrays get the win.
  2. Ben Moloney wears 26 for Falcons, but he wasn't named today. Was he a tall/small?
  3. The general belief is that they tanked to get Thomas/and or Pendlebury...I mean honestly, who loses to Freo by 120pts?
  4. No worries. That line brought a big smile to face as well.
  5. Just a little grab from a pre-draft profile on last years draftees (by Kevin Sheehan). Each draftee was asked a series of questions, and a few were asked about which of their peers they rated. The kids mostly stuck to kids within their draft year, but these two responses stuck out for me at the time. The only bottom aged player to be mentioned, and I remember thinking 'gee this kids sounds impressive, but I think we'll improve enough to not to have a shot at drafting him'. I guess I was wrong. Sam Blease Which of your peers have impressed you this season? Tom Scully is a close mate and has had a stellar season and I'd expect him to go very high in next season's draft. Tyrone Vickery Which of your peers have impressed you this season? Tom Scully has been the best I’ve played with. He is too young for draft camp but is exceptional and will be a good player next year. I played against some very good guys from WA and SA. Big names like Rich and Naitanui are obviously very good players. Nick has outstanding physical attributes.
  6. Anyone else noticed that two of our potential picks for 1 & 2 are currently being coached by MFC oldboys? Scully by Yeats and Trengove by Luke Norman. An omen perhaps?
  7. I keep thinking Michael Voss. Just that strength overhead and in the contest, and the ability to lift his game when the contest is red hot. That's just an invaluable ablility, especially come finals time.

  9. Thanks for the updates mate, much appreciated.
  10. Great read as always WJ
  11. I'd love us to pick him up at 18. 4 goals and amongst the best for Eastern in a great win against the Falcons today. Some footage: http://rangesfc.matchvision.com.au/player/ben_griffiths
  12. Saw Schwabby there as well. Are you sure you were watching the right tall fwd for the Power? No goals for Butcher today, and the only touches I saw him get (in the second half at least) were both on the wing (two possies, one was a turnover). Scully BOG, and had a direct influence on the outcome after being moved on ball. I'm excited! 13. Kreuzer was also seen as being quite unique, being a ruckman with the mobility of a rover. I The 'point of difference' factor could be one that sways the decision. I think Morabito comes into the frame because he offers something different to what's on the playing list and is considered to be a top3 selection.
  14. If he had a thumping lick and a mop of blonde hair not too dissimilar to Daniel Rich, that's probably Ben Toy. Aka GC 17's marquee signing so far.
  15. Kicked bags of goals at Colts level and played two WAFL games. Bit of hype over in WA about him. 16. Just grabbed the last couple of MFC wins from here.
  17. Check this site out: http://aus.sierules.com/
  18. Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but some footage of Jack (just skip past the Crows stuff).
  19. There's a chance that they rate Morabito's upside higher than Scully's. He would certainly suit Freo's recruiting template and would be exciting to watch on the open spaces at Subi.
  20. Agree on all points. The Richmond that will take the field on August 2 will be very different to the side Melbourne knocked off for its first win. On paper Richmond look to have us covered in midfield with Cousins, Cotchin, Deledio, Tuck and Tambling all playing good football. 3 of those didn't play in round 4. I'm not banking on us winning this (in fact I'm banking on us NOT winning this!), and feel it's quite realistic to expect that Fremantle will be the last game we win this year. Sydney are always competitive at Manuka, Kanga's have been very close in the last couple of weeks (look a better side with Boomer harvey back). Finishing on 5 wins will be the worst possible result for Melbourne. 3 out of 4 on Footy Classified agreed (Garry begrudgingly).
  21. Blog from 'the Age' on a current topic of interest: http://blogs.theage.com.au/realfooty/
  22. I thought Lycett was bottom aged and only eligible for draft next year.
