  1. hence, the price the stars, like The Bont, can pull. Even after watching us in games where we draw 20K, and it seems like a suburban type of product, AFL is a Big Business. So, Goody, and Richo and Chocco ... you've been great but we need fresh talent.
  2. I'm trained to facilitate group therapy: Anti-Saint: "what are your feelings on umpiring"? Demonlander: "I'm happy to admit - I am addicted to havin' a go at them". A-S: "ahh some responsibility is starting to appear". I did 10 years of study to realise I am addicted to the MFC!
  3. gee whiz ... Kubler-Ross is old hat ... you need to get with: "The Worden Grief Model, developed by psychologist J. William Worden, outlines four tasks of mourning that individuals go through following a loss. These tasks are: accepting the reality of the loss, processing the pain of grief, adjusting to a world without the deceased, and finding an enduring connection with the deceased while moving forward with life. Unlike stage models of grief, Worden's model emphasizes that these tasks are not linear and can be revisited or worked on concurrently" Wordo told me: "you will be down until there is light from hell - and that will be the AFLW until the Big One (Harris) takes a speccie at 30m then kicks it into the hot-dog stand - you will return to dark place - good-luck Anti-Saint"
  4. yep - i hope both are played until end of season ... while it pains me that Armagedon get our first round, thus us losing helps Dingy Hill, we have to play, play, play the battlers
  5. QBD you know how to hurt a bloke when he is down!
  6. that's silly of you QBD. you are normally a moderate. We want Cam and one of the brothers
  7. when will we switch May to FF to be with JvR? Bring back TMac. Lever one more chance. Fritta, you lit up my life in Perth but you have been caught for being a one-tricker (lead, mark, kick). But how good the Shake? I'm off to see the Village People in November at the MCG - great something good at the G in Spring!
  8. Give Jeffo a Go I say.
  9. The MilkShake is a remarkable athlete. In his 30s (turns 34 next month), post the setback of missing the premiership, The Shake has played some of his best footy deespite numerous injuries he keeps on "frothing-up" (unlike milk for a cappuccino as you only get to froth this milk once!). No wonder he cramped as he's not had a run at form having played 11 of our games with a few out with injury. I hope we "Do The Shake" in 2026 IMO. BTW, I can't stand The Filth (I just wanted to say this as I saw an old filth supporter at the GPs today and I felt even sicker!)
  10. Jacko starred again at Freo this evening.
  11. Luke might like to think that the club re-built when he started with us, and, we can do it again?
  12. The Mays, The Milkshakes, and the Boars (was that Hibber's nickname?)
  13. absolutely - we are down the bottom as we have experienced The Premiership Effect, ie, you win a flag and you get cache, as you should. But, we are gone. Now, it's time for change (Gough Whitlam said that of the loooong-term Liberals). While I am on the quotes - "The harder you work, the luckier you get," said Thomas Jefferson. We are not working hard enough in many facets on and off the field.
  14. come on Joe many of us love to look at your words - we all do it For the Love of The Dees. And your words stir us up too. We are bleedeeing Red n Blue in June - can't believe our season ova and winter only one-month old!
  15. oh that ol' chestnut - never seen an umpire take a kick for a player and then miss the teammate or goal.
  16. u r right QBD - Filth have stars everywhere - they might be like Nellie Melba "too old" but they keep on performing. The Mihoceks, the Elliotts, the Crisps these types kill us. Yet we got to within a whisker of suffocatin' 'em - I can't work us out but QBD you have hi-end analytical AI access: Y = MX + C Please, how come we Dees are Bottom 4 but lose to The Filth by a point?
  17. yep I like May forward with JvR. May could give us some presence as Tom Petty looks nothing like he did when he kicked a stack across six weeks - was that two years ago now?
  18. wasn't Josh - Deemon Josh in our footy dept during the Dark Days (it's damn grey at the moment too!)
  19. o wat a deesgraceful stat
  20. time to bring in kids - i just dont know if we have any!
  21. it's one thing to lose to The Filth last Monday by a point after out-everything them (except their half-backs sprinting away from our forwards). But according to Tony Jones and Des Tuddenham in this report, The Filth must have won the '64 flag by three goals, instead of losing by four points. That's according to Tuddy as he kicked four in the following TV report. Only problem Tuddy - "yeah, I think (I kicked) four (goals)" - the records show you kicked only one goal. Hmmm. Top journalism that Tony!
  22. inaccurate kicking even in the 80s! But this time by the oppo rather than us!
  23. numbers 24 and 26 ealry 70s! When Ray Biffo came over from North Launceston to be our deefender - No 29!
  24. concur QBDee: Jesse come back - all is forgiven. Kozzalenko you are a beauty! But Which Cameron? Peter Cameron the 1980s umpire? now that we are finished for 2025 Jeffo to play each week for development along with JVR IMO
