5 disposals, 2 turnovers, 2 clangers.
-
You might be right, I just assumed that it was about possessions so don't take it as gospel.
-
Doesn't the heat map measure where the player collects disposals? That's what I always thought, but not 100% on it. If so, would make sense why he has no heat spots given he had no touches. The defensive half % wouldn't mean much with no possessions either.
-
Yep, his ball use has been atrocious since coming in. I like him, he has a bit of mongrel, but he'd want to tidy up a bit if he plans on staying in longer than this week IMO. As mentioned, he and Hunt I think will both stay in for now.
-
Sure, or next time he might kick 6 out on the full. You go by existing form not 'best case scenario' form.
-
Didn't he kick like 1.5 today? Can't see that winning over the coach of a team who kicked poorly for goal...
-
Not necessarily. Bringing in Sparrow into the mix means Harmes, Petracca or Oliver can go forward more often, OR you could just have Sparrow playing as a forward. It's not set in stone there's no flexibility in roles players are asked to play. Having Sparrow instead of Melksham as a forward gives us more pressure and intent in that part of the ground, something we've been missing for a couple of weeks.
-
Well, Ben Brown won't be coming in.... OUT: Jetta, Melksham IN: Salem, Viney (if they're not ready, swap for Lockhart and Sparrow) Fritsch better get a rocket this week.
-
So is TMac, so is Fritsch...
-
Fritsch has form?
-
Maybe. They don't have a massively different accuracy % over their careers though. 63.5% for Weid, 67.4 for Brown.
-
Weid took the same amount of marks as TMac and more than Fritsch. It's not about 'silver service' it's about not just bombing it blindly. it hurt all of our marking forwards. For some reason Weid has become the new whipping boy it seems.
-
Having scans today but the expectation is he will miss a few weeks. English likely to be back for the Dogs though.

Three times this year we've gone on quick scoring runs when Max was on the bench. I thought last night it was a mistake he came back into the ruck after only a couple of minutes, in which we kicked multiple goals, and sure enough the Crows then kicked 3 and won. Obviously I'm not blaming Max for the loss or saying he's not a great player, but that was poor coaching IMO as we were clearly on a run and the coaches changed the setup.
-
None of our forwards were able to capitalise on our 'midfield dominance' yesterday. Hardly think singling out Weid is fair. Go back and look at the disgraceful delivery forward.

Umps got it wrong - need a please explain

Related question: Did our 'good guy' mentally cost us that free kick? Not enough of our players 'appealed' for the deliberate decision. ANB half heartedly put his hands up, no one else did anything. If a few of them had, even if ANB or Jacko had started to lineup like he was expecting the decision, it potentially could have tipped the balance in the umpires eyes. We were poor. Absolutely 0 pressure until after half time. A fair few blokes should be hanging their heads. Crows 100% deserved to win. Doesn't mean we can't talk about yet another decision/non-decision that has decided the outcome of a game though. Staggering we still have part timers officiating a billion dollar game. -
I love Spargo but thought he struggled to have any impact today. 8 touches with 4 clangers and a turnover would put him in the conversation this week IMO. Doesn't mean he gets dropped, but his name will come up. And as I said, Hunt and Petty will likely stay due to credits in the bank and necessity.
-
It's a list of who I think will be discussed, I didn't suggest all would be dropped.
-
Would suggest all of Fritsch, Jetta, Spargo and Melksham will all be discussed. Petty and Hunt possibly too, but they likely stay due to credits and need I reckon. Hard to judge Weid's performance today. Horrible ball use forward of centre most of the time, none of Weid, TMac or Fritsch got much opportunity. Might hold off until after the Casey game for ins.

His own instagram disagrees so I think perhaps channel 7 didn't get their facts straight, who would have thought a reputable media organization like them could do such a thing...
-
Actually, I'm pretty sure it was mentioned somewhere he doesn't have a hyphen in his name. Edit - Just remembered it might have been on channel 7 commentary one week so source is probably unreliable...

Demons themed beer holder that clips onto the back of the seat in front of you, or if you're like me and prefer standing on the outer; can click onto the wire fence. Good for crowd noise, means we can clap with two hands...
