  1. Assuming he leaves and we can make a deal with Essendon.
  2. Saad would have some sort of relationship with Steven May right?
  3. Yes frustrating but certainly not trade worthy. He has a great kicking technique. Problem is between his ears. Nevertheless he has to be a forward of centre link player. Great marking and field kicking. Even would be worth trialling one the wing.
  4. Continues to surprise me how they always seem to target these players. They got Martin with a million dollar contract last year. Even with the retirees, they shouldn’t be able to afford him. We absolutely need to nail this one more than a key forward. LJ and Pickett will grow next year and will be that much better.
  5. And a nice 50K [censored] you from the AFL to finish off the season. Great
  6. Absolutely. How many other players have kicked four goals this year? His dash and mobility is something to be in awe of. He is a turnover merchant off half back so keep him inside forward 50.
  7. Agreed. He is not going to make it I’m afraid. Need to bring in a ready made.
  8. We need to go for Ben Brown or Jeremy Cameron - not soldnon Hoags. I just don’t thinK Weeds is going to make it. Instead Hunt and Fritsch kicked seven between them. Just doesn’t position himself correctly is always caught out of position and is easily nullified in the pack situation.
  9. [censored] typical. Absolute [censored] [censored] [censored]
  10. How predictable. A big old fashion Melbourne choke is coming up.
  11. The talk on Gunston is promising but we have plenty of mid size forwards in stock. Milkshake, Fritsch and Hannan. Also throw Smith into the mix. We would have to get rid of at least one of those if we were to chase Gunston. I wouldn’t mind experimenting with Fritsch on the wing - but he needs a lot of work on endurance if he is to keep up with Langdon. So hard call on the others. Hannan or Smith probably needs to go. i dont think Carlton will bid on Williams they honestly can not afford him unless they are paying the rest of the team 200-300K. Remember they are paying Martin close to a million and they have Cripps on their books as well plus the other half a dozen other commanding player.
  12. If by some miracle we make the finals. Playing eagles in Perth will be the perfect opportunity for redemption. They are also very vulnerable at the moment.
  13. That’s the game and the year. Can’t see the doggies loosing and/or the dees winning. hopefully there is an exodus of players inc Williams to the Dees ?
  14. I really do hope they go at Williams hard I don’t see Saad leaving. Williams will make a huge difference to our run and carry - where we have been turning it over so badly. Forward half turnovers are bad but defensive half turnover especially in transition will hurt you even more. This is where we have been terrible this year. getting Isaac smith wouldn’t be the worst option either. We can use him to mentor and develop our wingers. Personally I think Fritsch would be a model wingman if he developed better endurance. He is a good mark, good field kick and a good decision maker.
  15. It’s the same Clarko that has won 4 premierships. That trumps everything.
  16. If we are taking our gaps in ball movement by foot / outside run as a serious problem, then we need to go after both Williams and Saad in my opinion. They will give us an immediate shot of outside run and elevate us to the top levels of the comp. If this means getting rid of Tmac, pick 22 and some additional players, then we have to do it. It boils down to whether our midfield can have a team with Harmes, Brayshaw, Trac, Oliver, Viney & Sparrow in the best 22. I have always thought that we'd need to trade 1-2 of those 6 to get what we lack.
  17. That was my thinking. But we'd possibly have to pick up 100-200K of TMac salary as well i would have thought. I would still be targeting Zac Williams ahead of Saad though.
  18. I disagree. Frosty is an athletic mobile lockdown defender. Playing under the mantra of play-on-at-all-costs doesn’t suit his skill set. However since we have dialled down the rpm’s his disposal would not have hurt us as much. He could quite easily take down 1st defender allowing May to do some major rebound damage or even switch up into the forward line as an elusive Plan B. Letting him go at the expense of O Mac is yet another mammoth of a [censored] up. Think of it this way, Clarky sees value in him - Goodwin does not. Who would you trust?
  19. He has got to go for that. Free arm or not .
  20. The GWS stoppage work was first class again. We got schooled around the contest with the well organised outfit. We have to do some major work in this area as we were shown up again despite having a dominant ruckman.
