I don't think they will play all of Weightman, JJ and Hannan in the same forward line. Espeically with Treloar and Smith playing a high half forward with English, Shache and Naughton...Just too many forwards there. Bevo is not dropping Hannan and the talls are unlikely to change. Smith and Treloar have found some form playing the HHF role but have a slight adjustment to their positions. It may simply boil down to Weightman or JJ playing that one role and JJ goes to medisub.

Spot on. Usually players get to where they want to go. But I can see this one taking up the whole draft period as Freo will want to squeeze us for everything.

Not that big of an out. Would have probably been swapped for Weightman. Lucky injury for them but poor fella. -

Stat wise it was very even that second game. If memory serves me right we got murdered by the umps and d50 stoppages and inaccuracy in front. update: 11 - 25 free kick count. 2-10 last Quarter. -

Big call. At best , it’s even Steven. -
Also they have an additional week I. Quarantine in WA whilst our boys will get to enjoy some genuine r and r. This is a huge mental advantage.
-
It’s obviously Lingers or Brayshaw. He played a little more high half forward too.

Or hammys

Hullo.

Possibly but Naughton is so much more agile than Petty. The closest we have is Smith imo. id go: Smith on Naughton May on English Petty on Schache Hibberd on Weightman Lever on Hannan DOnt ask who I’d drop for Smith though.
-
We know how they will play on Lever at least. Who takes Naughton? Gonna have to be Smith - nobody can match his athleticism. Doggies are still vulnerable down back so we will need a huge effort in the midfield but I think our brand is better suited to finals. Port is just flattering them tonight.

Martin looks done.
-
That is the game I’m afraid.
-
This game is close to being done. This how we looked last night. Cats at least had a pulse.
-
Port haven’t done their homework. They are trying to out attack the best attack.
-
Doggies look on.

Absolutely irresponsible from the AFL as it was clear they were made aware. Usually a common cold virus is no where near as transmissible as COVID so the risk is low but these things are now magnified in covid times. They should have played with face masks. i still wonder how they get sick when they were in quarantine in the first place. I think in all fairness it does as well. But I keep thinking how we got stiffed last year so there is balance is somewhat restored.

I saw it pop up somewhere - can’t recall where but it was 228. Maybe it was in the 3rd quarter.

An interview up on MFC Facebook page. He will be training as usual. He is ‘super confident’ in his body. he is saying everything you want to hear. No doubt on that front. Hopefully it’s genuine and he’ll be right to go.

We knew the Cats were vulnerable by the game they played last week. I think they stood very little chance due to fitness, age bracket., bye and game plan. Albeit that alone doesn’t account for an 83 point drubbing - 5-6 goals at best. Last night was the perfect storm of the above PLUS the massive confidence, momentum and self belief this group has right now. Execution wise each player understands and played their role almost flawlessly. That is how I explain thr 83 point win. The next game will not be as easy as both Port and the Dogs don’t give us the same head start in game plan, age profile etc. it will all boil down to execution and role play.

Not the right thread I know but I want to put the spotlight on Sparrow. He played a solid game … I wouldn’t trade him out. Let him get to 50 games and reassess.
-
Yup my thoughts too. Although if we do play Port they may try to stack up tall to exploit it using Dixon, Georgiadies, Marshall and Ladhams. But tbh I’d me more worried with a more balanced lineup that has Fantasia, Gray and Rozee in there.
-
Yep this is just cherry on top stuff. Big drop coming for them that will last a number of years.

I just hate Geelong more than any other club and am so stoked we smashed em in a PF. How would you feel spending three 1st rounders on Cameron. Suffer in your jocks!
