Turning Hogan into May
I think they all have made stupid, emotional calls but if you follow some of the pre-match programs, they all have to make an outrageous 'tip' on the game. When they get it right they look like oracles and conversely, like fools when they get it wrong - its all for a bit of entertainment. If you were asked for a genuine tip/insight, you'd find that most commentators would find it a difficult proposition to actually predict what is going to happen with lots of ums and ahhs and caveats, which would make for some really boring TV. There are specific commentators like Brereton, Dwayno Gerard Whately (to a lesser extent) who i just cannot stand as they let their bias continually stand in the way of their judgement and others that have no clue (BT, James Brayshaw, Robbo etc). But thats just me.

Turning Hogan into May
He does, but i applaud him for having an opinion. Others just skirt around the edges not wanting to upset people. He is also quite balanced as is Montagna and have plenty of depth and analysis to their opinion. They will get it wrong just as many times as they get it right.

2022 List and Contract Details
I would give Hibbo 1 more year. Bedford, Hunt & Smith 2 years, Brayshaw and LJ whatever they want (within reason and cap) lets says 3 years. I'd elevate Turner and Moniz-Wakefield. Delisting to Baker, M.Brown. I would hold off on J.Melksham until year end to see if we need him again for depth. Not sure on others though haven't seen Casey play enough.

NON-MFC: Round 16, 2022
The umps will get a call soon enough 😂.

Turning Hogan into May
Frost is a good defender one-on-one but cannot play team defence and is a poor user of the ball.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Very true. There is no guarantee he will gel with the team as he has with MFC - unlikely - but the culture is an unknown as all the dirty secrets and detractions will not be on show when he meets with WCE or Freo officials.
-
Angus Brayshaw
He is also one head clash away from retirement. Chances of said head knock dramatically increase in the middle given the way he plays. I think he is enjoying his role at half back / wing. He is a genuine midfield utility and can play across 3-4 different positions.

Clayton Oliver: A Demon for Life
Hopefully this will instigate some movement on the Brayshaw and LJ front and get them signing up too.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Maybe in 2-3 years time but not right now.

West coasts pick will likely be pick 3 as Norf May get 1 and 2. I think if LJ isn’t staying we deal exclusively with WCE and their Pick 2/3 and also a KP player. If Freo really want him, then we use the Eagles as the bargaining chips as it satisfies Doggas supposed desire to get home. Then we ask for Brayshaw and 2022 first rounder.

Farewell Luke Jackson
I wonder if the May incident has thrown a spanner in the works in recent times.

Farewell Luke Jackson
For LJ he fulfils both current and future needs so any equitable trade needs to do the same. Someone who can impact now and is presumably 28+ and is in top 15 bracket of their club and then we need a pick that fairly represents his future worth, which is a top 3 pick. Eagles can offer us that, Freo cannot.

I’d love to snag the other Brayshaw, but has anyone thought where we would actually play him?

2022 Match Review Panel
Any other player from any other team would have ‘been.n example of’ and copped 6. Could you imagine if that was Toby Greene laying the bump?

Petty / Turner should cover May. LJ hopefully covers Gawn so I think we are covered in those key positions s for the next decade. Forward line is where we need talent pronto. We could have sustained success for the next 10 years similar to Geelong if we can develop and attract talent there. Both McKay and Curnow come out of contract next year so we should definitely see how we can target one of them. Will take a mammoth offer though but could pull of a Tigeresque move like they did for Lynch.

2022 NAB AFL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
This bugs me big time. The last two years we have had compromised drafts with JUH and Daicos. I get the romance and all, but if you want true equalisation of Comp, you have to scrap the FS. I can just see this getting introduced the year before Viney Mk3 or Brayshaw-Frawley (granted decades away) are likely 😃

The Run Home
Why are we stuck with this game at TIO? I thought the deal had now completed. We don’t need the cash anymore so can’t the AFL get another club in need of dollars up there instead. It’s incredibly taxing on the players and we lose the home ground advantage.

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
100%. It was a coward act and he should get penalised to the full extent. Hits like that can end careers. What if that was Gus or Paddy McCartin? Time for a statement punishment I think to really drive the point home that you cannot go past the ball and bump and expect a few weeks. Bumps past the ball with a concussed player should be 4 weeks minimum and an additional 1 week for every extra week (after the 12 days) the concussed player misses out due to ongoing concussion symptoms (max 12 weeks)

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
A few dodgy umpiring calls ruining this game.

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
I can’t wait for the return leg. If we bring the same intensity as the Lions game it’s a completely different proposition.

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
Nah mate every Richmond game is like this. I feel sorry for them tbh.

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
Geez the Tigers get the short stick from the umps all the time. That wasn’t a 50.

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
Cameron eye gouging? What’s the going rate for that?
-
NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
Just saw it. He’ll get 3-4 reduced to 2 I think. No way gets just 1 week for that, it’s actually the perfect example of what the AFL don’t want to see when you elect to bump.
