  1. 100% this. He was at least at some stage the best. If you qn whether he his right now, then he’s definitely top 10. And really from there it’s more about consistency rather than talent as it’s hard to split the players in that bracket.
  2. It looked very harmless. yze said rolled ankle so hopefully nothing that some ice, compression and an 8 day break can’t fix. We play the Saints next Sunday which is plenty of time for them to get over the slog in Cairns
  3. With all due respect, I don’t think Amateur footy compares. Recovery activities , dehydration , cortisol etc will make it really difficult for a good night sleep.
  4. No offence taken Beetle. It’s a fair question. Have you ever ran 15km at 10 pm? If not there is no point trying to explain.
  5. We played the night before. From a recovery standpoint it is effectively the same as a 5 day.
  6. Don’t forget the 6 day break.
  7. Forgot the Saints playing in Cairns. That humidity will be quite taxing.
  8. I’d keep him in tbh. 2 clutch goals needs to be rewarded. Kozzy hasn’t had a great year so make him work harder to earn his spot back.
  9. And another bs goal from free. That’s 3 today.
  10. Hawks have to be out of puff soon. They are playing really offensively to try and open us up on rebound … even our boys were struggling to get back in that last bit. Wouldn’t be surprised if we started to pile them on after the first 5-10 mins.
  11. Another poor umpiring decision results in a Goal.
  12. There are bad decisions every week, but we get the cream of the crop with the most goals against from frees. Just pathetic.
  13. We weathered the Hawthorn 1st quarter blitz. We should slowly put our stamp on this game. They are taking a lot of risk going through the corridor and will turnover a bit more as the game wears on. This is the game we want. Bedford needs to put a bit more forward pressure but has had a reasonably good start. Make Kozzy earn his spot back. Still a few passengers. Harmes, Dunstan Rivers and Spargs need to lift. Not comfortable in weed playing LJs role.
  14. The whole team has COVID
  15. So they’ll get a serve from the media this week, have a half hearted 2 1/2 quarter performance against the Lions and capitulate, then will play us with shot confidence the week after. Mind you we maybe using the Casey top up players by the way things are going.
  16. Day after Queens bday. Someone in the team needs to host a COVID party and bolster immunity for the remainder of the season. There is a 10 day break.
  17. What difference does it make? He has COVID after he most likely developed symptoms this arvo. What is becoming increasingly clearer though is that RATs and daily testing using RATs are pointless. The club could have easily avoided an outbreak had the AFL employed PCR testing as the preferred method of testing. understand it’s a bit more logistically challenging, and more expensive but in our case would have probably avoided this mess.
  18. Its hardly a new conundrum. It boils down to is a strong offence better than a strong defence. We have seen this battle of strategies across all sports in the modern era. To beat the Demons, a lot of things need to go right, particularly if you have an offensive game-plan. It is the right game plan to beat us, but requires near perfect execution.
  19. Not the worst idea....if they can actually get out of bed that is... Lots of data coming out that even professional athletes that have little to no symptoms are still impacted in lung health for upto a month. Dr Peter Larkin mentioned this on the radio earlier in the week.
  20. I recall the 50 was more like 200 and Pert said this morning that most players have already had it within the MFC team.
  21. Hopefully all 4 are cherry ripe for the Saints.
  22. Port, GWS, GCS are the only real opportunities. I suppose you always need to start from the bottom. But boy i wouldnt want to goto any of them.
  23. https://player.whooshkaa.com/episode?id=987312 listening to it now. its neither here or there. Doesnt confirm that its just the 3 but doesnt say its anymore either. Just takes the conservative approach and says that we are waiting to see if anything more develops today, which is a sensible response as you dont want to say its just the 3 but then have more develop symptoms or return a positive result throughout the day. i choose to look at this a bit more optimistically.
