Melbourne Membership Day at SEN
Same here he is just another Geelong mouthpiece. Itās funny how all Melbourne supporters in the media can maintain a neutral profile but others like Derwayne, Derm, Bucks, Hudson, Whately cannot. Drives me nuts.

Melbourne Membership Day at SEN
Those that got it last year were offered the same for the first three games this year.

Dees Miss Out on $1 Million Champion Club Award
Typical. We would have won it the last two years. But should challenge this year.. Lions are our only real threat. Didnāt think the Cats aflw side was any good.

Analysis of the Demonās Forward Line
Also fails to mention BBB playing on half a leg, Gawn battling through multiple injuries, LJ putting the cue in the rack, Trac playing with a broken leg and the midfield running out of puff after a reduced preseason. Easy to look at TMacs injury as the trigger but that is grossly oversimplifying a year that full was of many issues both on and off the field.

Kozzy Pickett Re-Signs for 4 Years
I watched thebi tee ire Trac. Itās hard with Trac - he starts saying heās super confident, then once pressed was less certain. End of the interview I was just confused.

Thatās a big call I donāt think anyone was definitive on LJ come to think of it.

Match Review Panel 2023
Watched the footage of JVās suspension from a few years back. His elbow was into Collins neck for about 4.5second. The amount of force applied also looks negligible as Collins doesnāt react initially - comparable to when i scratch the belly of my cat for the same amount of time - both then realise whatās going and proceed to freak out. Cotchinās had much more of a driving force , and from what I can tell seems to apply the arm for about 2-3 seconds. The situation was similar enough, with the same intent and arguably higher force. Loved the way Robbo and sidekick Whately just wave it off in 360. I had to pinch myself as I couldnāt believe what I was seeing.

Match Review Panel 2023
How on earth does Cotchin only get a fine when Viney gets 2 weeks? I remember Whately really pushing the case for Vineys suspension but doesnāt seem to care so much about Cotchin. Its pre season and already the MRO has lost credibility.

I agree, there has to be something in it for the club if they decide to make that move. For example. if you march him to the draft, the club gets the pick immediately after the one used to snare the uncontracted player. So if Kozzy was to go this year and was taken at pick 3, we would then get pick 4. Doesn't really help with interstate players as go-home-factor would probably put-off a lot of Victorian clubs and its not always going to be equitable, but at least the club has some bargaining power.

Robbo's Top 50 - 2023 Pre Season
Granted its pre-season and there is always a 'predictive' component as a retrospective top 50 is boring. I think Petracca is going to have a history making year. His form in pre-season looks so good - I don't recall ever seeing him play this well in pre-season. Max also has a point to proove, given the way we exited finals.

Kozzy Pickett Re-Signs for 4 Years
So he wasn't happy with the way he was being played and now he is in an increased midfield role in contract year... So clearly we are going to great lengths to keep him - its a pity it takes the impact of a contract year to make these types of changes. He should have more midfield time last year with Chandler / Bedford getting more of a run up forward.

Kozzy Pickett Re-Signs for 4 Years
The odds of him going are clearly high, given these tend to get sorted out sooner rather than later. LJ's situation clearly taught us that we are not bulletproof to loosing good players. As much as many say Kozzie is different than LJ, there will be lots of people in his ear. He'll probably be paying close attention to what his family says and if they are anything like the Jackson's, we are in trouble. Let's hope uncle Byron can put aside his allegiances and advise Kozzy on what is best for his career and that is as a one-club player. To counter this, Brayshaw left his contract decision to the 11th hour and whilst we all thought he too was gone, reminds us that it is still possible to get a signature deep into a contract year. He doesnt seem to be a sell-out or a money grabber. His girlfriend situation gives us something, but really it can go both ways unless there is something that is keeping her bound to Melbourne.

Is that your opinion or are you in the know? Itās helpful to start off any opinion based sentence with āI thinkā it helps the nufties like me to tell the difference between fact and speculation.

NON-MFC: Practice Matches 2023
Beware of the Dogs. they had a shocker last year for god knows what reason but they are stacked full of talent - maybe underdone a little in the backline but stars in the forward half.

NON-MFC: Practice Matches 2023
Geelong getting smashed but are +12 in f50s - no Cameron or Hawkins though. Get those matchups right and you go a long way to beating the reigning premiers Hawkins sooner or later is going to fall off the perch. This year may just maybe that year.
