  1. For me… 6. Gawn 5. Rivers 4. Langdon 3. T Mac 2. Lever 1. Sparrow
  2. Windsor? Rated 40th out of 46 players. Ten disposals. Don’t get me wrong, I love him, but let’s be realistic.
  3. The inexperience of our youngsters, Windsor, Howes, JVR and McVee, is showing. And our experienced forwards, Brown, Petty, Fritter, are out of position when the ball comes in. Clarrie is obviously hampered by his hand and is pretty much useless tonight.
  4. I was planning on going to the game with my daughter tomorrow night, but she’s not well. If anyone else is going alone or looking for a Demon-supporting companion, please pm me.
  5. Disappointed that you couldn’t find a way to mention Ben and Mrs Brown’s lovely daughter. 😀
  6. I just checked the length of this week’s podcast. I usually take a long walk most days and fill it with an episode of A History of Rock Music in 500 Songs - which I heartily recommend. But today I’ll do a 2 hour, 40 minute walk, counting @binman’s ums for Stats File. 😁 Keep up the great work, @Demonland.
  7. Thanks @binman, I hadn’t noticed that. You might need to have a quiet word with your assistant, @Binmans PA. 😀
  8. He’s been suspended three times in his last 26 games for pretty much the same thing. We love him, but it’s time to get some discipline.
  9. I take your point, Jaded. But do you think we could refrain from using the word boy? I am sure you mean it as young man, or lad, but it is a word that can offend indigenous people.
  10. Great to get the win. We could improve if we stuck the tackles, though. We provided great pressure but we often let them out of tackles, instead of getting a htb free or a ball up.
  11. This might be Oliver’s worst game.
  12. Too true. With his Rioli error, he stopped looking at the flight of the ball and looked a Rioli. If he had concentrated on the ball with a view to marking or punching it away, Rioli would not have goaled.
  13. Just watched the replay. Max was huge, but with six seconds to play at the centre bounce, he hit the ball to a Port player giving them the break forward. Surely the obvious play in the ruck is just to drop it to his own feet or take it out of the ruck and absorb a tackle to force another ball up. I noticed he did the same thing in similar circumstances last year too and I can’t understand why the sensible/defensive play isn’t drummed into him for close finishes or end of quarter contests.
  14. Has Hinkley asked the governor of the AFL to find another 8 points?😃
  15. In a word, no. This topic is all over the internet with people bringing up different scenarios involving wind, spin, bounce, padding, post, flags and line. But in all of the images I’ve found of AFL goal lines, the back of the goal line is in line with the back of the post. (Not so on junior footy grounds.) Although someone might argue parallax error, a millimeter of paint or padding to promote their own contrary view.
  16. Loved his goal and his Nomination will come. But not for a 4 kick 8 handball game. Watch this space.
  17. It can’t have gone entirely past the goal line if it hits anywhere on the post. It was a behind.
  18. We’ve got one of those at our house.
  19. Sadly, it’s well hidden.
  20. Thanks, Jack.
  21. Nope, the padding is counted as the post.
  22. The weekend’s footy has started perfectly!
  23. 5 Oliver, Billings, Gawn 3 Petracca 2 May 1 Viney
  24. We’re heading to Tassie for a week or two and today we’ll be in Geelong. So I’ll be watching the game at the Sporting Globe. 🙏Don’t ruin my holiday before it starts, Demons. 🙏
