I disagreed with your baking of Clarry for being unprofessional about his fitness this year. That was clear and obvious. I outlined how his efforts IMO do not represent him in that light. Thsts the issue. But let’s hope it is all for the better of Clarry now and for a bumper return next year when we again see him at his top winning games again for us.

You are not understanding the totality of Clarries issues from the start. I thought most fans understood his mental physical and fitness challenges when it all came out during his return in pre season. You have just called Clarry unprofessional when he made every effort by himself to prepare for the year. He was not under Club control but training with other support and doing vast amounts of running. Plenty of film/photos were featured during this time. Eventually he came back and started his Club pre season but was clearly underdone although we hoped he would get better game by game. Yes he has/ had done some unprofessional things but not his attempt to become fit for the season. That is totally not fair and he should be lauded for the effort/s he has tried this season. Also the other injuries that have surfaced have impounded the pressure on his fitness levels. I think some / many/ few were surprised when he was selected from Round 1 vs Sydney. Not sure that was the wisest move for the long term season plan really. Lets just learn from it all that Clarry is in a much greater space now and give home time now to concentrate on ridding himself of those injuries and when able commence a Clubprogram pre season during the off season. And that we will see the real Clarry again in the top echelon next season in the mid field.

At first it was said that it was Trac who wanted to stay out / return to the field. Trac indicated this himself. I think we should also be aware of the extreme pressures that his family are/ would be placing on the Club. Apparently no one visited him in the first 10/11 days and also if anyone’s the hospital photos of the first 4/5 days no one else would have got any where near Trac because he was surrounded completely.

To not make changes ignores the fact that we are not getting any better. The Club cannot afford to play this way and continue to bore our fans. Your defence is one of the most listless options I have heard. Any real supporter can see the players are a shadow of themselves and new young ones are getting the skill and flair coached out of their game. Thats why we can’t provide a star or Xfactor with skill to win the close games. We don’t play natural football we play a contrived brand that resists individuals and their skills once the pressure is on to deliver.

He is too slow and will keep a young mid draftee off our list.

The coaching would be totally different and more successful as it would not suck the life blood out of any positive moves to kick goals or win a game from the centre to goals. Players are confused bewildered and hesitant about how to operate a forward line and have been for 3 years trying to win games that are being saved with no real system to fall back on. Basically all natural instincts at times are the best moves like Kossies but so few forwards are in the right frame of mind to let that happen. Time for Stafford to go and Goody to alter his mantra or we will slowly wither our young players with fear even more than now. We are afraid to take the game on for fear of losing it!!

Really what are you on about? Nothing has been said or intimated of any link whatsoever. Are you just being mischievous or can’t stand the silence about our two champs. Trac is going through a tough time and his family have ( in supportive ways as his ethnics would demand) are having to deal with a very sad and long recovery from a dangerous accident on the field. Clarry is really struggling fitness wise but trying to be the best he can at this stage of the season. A forward pocket /half forward flank with cameo role on the ball is what Goody should do on the field to make best use of his ability at this stage for the team and himself. You are not understanding the difference of what other Clubs are looking for. I love Christian and he is so dilky skilled but he is not going to attract trade bdd as it with his. Injury record at his age. He is one of our heart and soul players and truly loves the Dees. But Bowey for eg would be a better pick up for a Club due to his age and career life, I wasn’t being him disrespectful to Salo but circumstances change needs

Really El Diablo you have really just rattled on tracing over all that led to Jacko leaving us. Seriously nothing you have said has made the Jacko situation any different to how it occurred. You don’t appear to have it correctly any way. The fact was that when Jacko accepted a ONE year extend he refused a two year offer. The world knows that and many Dees fans thought this as a possible Red flag then. Fact proved. Secondly he was not interested in leaving in 2022 after the Flag as he had signed for the extra year. He was never interested in West Coast so matter closed. Dribble talk now really. So your post about this Jacko leave 2 years on is nothing new and repetitive. Of course we miss him now that he as we all knew would be a very good to great player but your repost is basically irrelevant about then and now.

I am only suggesting now that he is totally exhausted and tired Goody should be looking to get more out of him rather than play him as much on the ball. Post him at half forward or pocket and run him on brief cameos on the ball to get a full game out of him. Next year should after a full pre season should be different hopefully for Clarry.

That’s your assessment of the situation based on what, The bonus contracts that have secured most of our stars and players recently. You are stating we have very limited left now to pay any new players say next year or can’t recruit an A grade mid next season. How many of our players are not going to be retained or are to retire ? Others to be delisted ? AND extra in the total to pay is how much.? Also most of our players are retained and Angus payment is not affecting our Cash for playing players. We have not found this situation before and it isn’t likely that it’s the case. It’s just your opinion on the list payment situation. Id be interested in sny other D/Lers opinion on this matter as I believe we are mostly very balanced in this aspect of the Club. Opinions??
