  1. Obviously a golf accident and can play in the next 3 rounds of pennant. Nothing to answer for. Please move on everyone.
  2. Bailey had been sub the previous week in Sydney vs the Swans and played a good quarter and bit. Was apparently never on the ball vs Pies which most Dees fans say where he should be placed.
  3. Results however will tell the tale of Casey being the major training ground with about 20 advantages over Goschs In our drought breaking 2021 premiership. The facilities at Casey recently only upgraded are second to none for professional footballers and not just a field made out of open space like Casey. And the size of the ground and its surface plus dimensions of the MCG which no doubt assists our AFL boys adjust to training and moves on the same size. About the only advantage of Goschs is location which some Club supporters allow to blinker judgement on Casey for any little event that is played or held let alone the historic playing home ground advantage to both the AFL and VFL teams. An hours drive into the country was the privilege of our immortal 2021 heroes and could well be again in 2024 if we lift the flag again. Yes it would be nicer if we could actually gain admission to the ground to watch our heroes on occasions. Mr Picket excluded also unfortunately.
  4. But Schache should have bee bought on mid way through the 3rd quarter vs the Blues. He could hav played a similar plan to Frampton did in the GF. Deliberately just hinder his opponent and other backs. No one will ever know if he could have jagged 1 or 2 or 3 marks and kicked straight. Goody let himself down not trying this at least.
  5. Sorry but you don’t need to artificially create chaos to have it. Players and Coaches are flat out getting successful results from team plans that are often needed to cope with chaos from the opposition. Have you ever played any team sport? If you haven’t most teams systems work to a relatively straight forward and simple but uncomplicated plan. Players vary greatly in abilities and response to learning so I am content to leave your suggestions to an American coach and team that seem to thrive on total chaos and near confusion.
  6. Also supports Stevie May in his comments. Law of averages also backs this up about beating them. Boy dies this Filth need a hiding or two from us this year. Once in HandA and also in a Final.
  7. So where do McAdam Billing’s and others like AMW Kolt and Caleb Windsor fit into your 2024 plans. McAdam and/or Billing’s wil help our forward line and even Fullarton will get an opportunity. Not all of our 2023 forwards will be there during the season if our recruits live up to expectations. I believe McAdam will be a lock plus Billing's a chance also. And don’t rule out Kolt and Duke (Windsor getting opportunities to debut. Also AMW appeals as does Howes and of course Taj. KP wise we may even get some good service from BBB and Fullarton is a chance of playing in the AFL also. Plenty of chances to assist our forward line and a game plan plus greater connectivity will make a great difference. Also JVR cannot wait to see him further develop his skills and ability plus team play and X factor. 2024 should be a great response to our 2022-23 disappointments
  8. Agree though the six or more wines that still a very reasonable comment. I believe many Demon fans agree with Stevie. Now is the time to follow it up in pre season right through to late in September. Lady Luck would be good for our group after 2022/23 but I fully believe that we will solve the forward and connecting issues as well as our horrible inaccuracy issues.
  9. Thsts a quote no one is likely to agree with. I like you are frustrated with Zkosdie trying to be MOTY champion but coaches must forbid him wasting his time jumping far too outrageously. Chin had a good season just tapering off at the end. Was a good goal sneak and crumbed who will join all the previously mentioned players vieing for a spot I mentioned in the Bailey Laurie post. Love his whole hearted attack on ball and opponents. Future in his own hands.
  10. You’re obviously in complete difference to the experts at the Club. JT and Lambie saw what we have seen ( you have missed ) in small doses admittedly so far but his injuries have definitely hindered his progress. I thought his last quarter vs Swans in Sydney in Round22 was his best AFL form but was not really on song in the QF vs Pies. Has this year to make his mark and looks super fit for the first time and I hope he gets a good run at it. Half forward or maybe in the centre or on ball are spots he would be suited to in a role that Sam Mitchell made his own for the Hawks. Wish him all the best as he competes with McAdam Billing’s Spargs ANB Kolt and even Kossie so he will have earned it if he succeeds. While not fast he has very good skills and disposal is one of them.
  11. On the same topic I also spoke last week when in Melb to Christians Dad while at their very popular North Rd. Cafe. Very encouraging report on Christians health and fitness. Let’s say he is winding back his effort after a huge start to balance out the pre season. Is well above last 2 pre seasons and back in 2021 territory. Let’s hope he can return to that as he was very instrumental in our success as part of that superbly tuned backline that kick started our attack. We need that back again to connect down field successfully in 2024.
  12. So true but it’s always the lot of some to use worst case scenarios really like 2022/3 to occur again. The theory is that we all start equal again in Round Zero/1 or whatever. One player in my previous post I didn’t even cover was JVR. I can see him having a real breakout year if we get the forward options we have deliberately targeted plus our existing talent all around him. His body strength plus confidence and team values plus an X factor in his marking ( refer to the top 5 marks of the year for reference) he is a Monty to kick 40plus goals this season. Can’t wait for the season if our recruits and existing talent get a sniff of a good game plan and trust in each other. There are a dozen good players we can use to kick goals and not one of them is like each other. They all have separate skills and it would be a nightmare to mind them all. Let's hope they all get on the park at some stage.
  13. What a horrible half glass empty future you are predicting. I can easily come up with the half glass full story completely the opposite and believe it’s far more likely than your dire negativity. For starters Clarry is not missing yet. It’s his situation that we don’t know or can’t predict but I believe we will have him back fit and firing at some stage. Who has ruled Petts out of the early rounds ? Even the additions of McAdam Billing’s Kolsthrup and Fullarton would transform our goal scoring plus a fit Fritta. Also BBB might just be match fit again and fill the Petty void for a few rounds. So Max and Stevie are going to fall off a cliff in 2024. Not on their watch! Count on improvement of Rivers in the middle a revitalised Lingers and Hunter or Howes or Taj plus Mc Vee improved and Salo back fit like in 2021. Tom Sparrow taking the next step and Joel Smith and Melky to return later in the season. Trac couldn’t kick any worse and can straighten our inaccuracy horrors. Oh and Mini gets the forward line and connectivity issues solved and improved. I don’t believe any of my glass full points are unachievable or some even unlikely. That is the potential of our list existing and new players for 2024 and a flag at the G is a very real possibility given a great injury run. We have had our down years and 2024 is a great chance to right our wrongs and misfortune of 2022 and 2023. Three wins at the G. Go Dees!!
  14. For good reason Thsts why Hore should be last selected . Also why Disco should be ahead of Tommo except ageist a monster forward,
  15. A very poor man’s Hibbo IMO. The thought of Marty being an AA like Hibbo is a fantasy. I reckon he is not good enough or strong enough for a key position and not quick ( pacy ) enough or clever enough to mind small and clever half forwards. His best attribute is his marking and is an interceptor but not a replacement for Lever either. Has won 2 Cwood VFL B and F and I think finished 2nd in ours at Casey one year. Is 28 and we really should be looking at a younger player for halfback as we already have Bowser Rivers Salem McVee Joel Smith Disco Turner and even Woey who can play there at a higher level Ibelieve. Lookslike Marty will train with us and try to join on the PSSP list before the season starts. Played about 20 games over 3/4 seasons from 2019 to 2021 and mostly in2019 he played 14 I think when we had all the players carrying pre season and injuries from 2018. Did get one injury which prevented him from having a good go at it but didn’t seriously challenge our best in 2021. Could really be called a List clogger at this stage of his career no matter how he plays in my opinion he should not be able to replace the players above unless they are all injured.
  16. “Kolclops” yes it’s ridiculous but fun to muse over. a nick name.
  17. Unfortunately looks a bit like Dennis Pagan or is it a Hocking brother?
  18. Cash Reserves of $10mill approx. is in the article, I am certain. Put away your microscope and please delete that ridiculous and shameful Cutoff Hawk that has no place in the Melbourne Club logos. It brings many fans heartache and sadness of a previous era. It is completely irrelevant and adds nothing to your posts. You
  19. Fox had that on after Monday and Tuesday. May still have on adding suggest you check Fox Footy 504 on my TV or might be another no. On a different Fox numbering of each station.
  20. Agree Dazzle. Let’s hope Melky is back early days around Bye time for a good run into Finals. Can add so much to our Forward line along with the newbies from both the trade and draft selections. Totally exciting group at our disposal now.
  21. We have drafted 2 key forwards in the last 2 drafts JVR and MJ and a key defender in Jed Adams last year. There was Laurie and Bowey 3 years ago for much needed smalls with good disposal. Tick Bowser 2021 Premiership player. Really IMO both most urgent needs are addressed this draft. Forwards McAdam Billing Fullarton 2nd ruck/resting plus mid size power X factor forward Koltyn Holstrup and. Goal kicking outside running winger /hf Caleb Windsor and rookie mid Kynan Brown. I was a little disappointed we didn’t take Curtin at 6 but we obviously decided on CW and also KH firmly beforehand. I am happy with that group and believe greatest weaknesses have been addressed. If BBB and T Mac are fit and firing by some miracle we will have all the pieces in place with just a faster game plan from Mini. JT and TL have done well.
